Packers to promote Ron Zook to Special Teams coach and head janitor

Our STs were a disaster under Zook. Snaps over the punters head and long returns were common. Kickoffs weren't terrible. FG was not consistent.

I guess I'd take Zook over whomever it was on Creyer's staff that never ever figured out that Les Miles was going to go for it on 4th down, but that's about it.

Ok, so lets look at this. Zook the guy Spurrier demonted and then run off. Zook flat out sucked. And before any of the say that he was better than WM.... WM sucked too and shat the bed regualarly. But we're getting better and better.

While Zook was Head Coach special teams were awful and the special teams coach was named MIke Woodford.

My nephew writes a blog for a Packers publication. He's shaking his head over this one. Zook helped coach the GB unit this past season and it had something like seven kicks blocked.

Zook handle the special teams his first year by himself, (2002). He promoted Mike Woodford to those duties in 2003. See the ugly stats on net punting in the screenshot below. We averaged 30 yards net punting.

Zook managed the special teams in 1994 and 1995, but Spurrier handled the kickers and the punters.
