POLL: What will be our run/pass ratio?

For the record, we ran on 91% of the plays versus Georgia. I am just wondering if we believe that we

  • 80-100% run, 0-20% pass

    Votes: 0 0.0%
  • 60-80% run, 20-40% pass

    Votes: 0 0.0%
  • 51-60% run, 40-49% pass

    Votes: 0 0.0%
  • More passes than runs

As much as I'm not satisfied with our offensive performance since 2009, some of you create a caricature to remember. It's not that we haven't had any success. Not all of our games have been Alabama and Mizz of 2014.

Here are some of the highlights that I see. Cherrypicked? Yeah - they're highlights. ...but all against SEC competition.
2012
UF vs. aTm
UF vs. Ten
UK vs. UF (200 pass & 200 rush)
UF vs. Vandy (326 rushing)

As a whole no. But being able to close out the 2012 LSU game by running like 24 consecutive times is impressive as hell. Particularly against a physical team like
LSU. Put as a whole, offense has looked so difficult.

I think we see a few more pass plays somewhere around 15 to 20 at max. However I think most of these passes will be short dumps, swing passes, or at the first down markers in a 3rd and medium situation. I do think that there also might be one or two deep balls as well to keep them honest, but I predict against USCe I think there will be about 25-30 passes. We will have to in my opinion to make sure we are G2G for F$pUe in a few weeks.

So, 4 out of a couple dozen? Yeah, that's impressive!

Plus the A&M and Tenn games that season didn't look good on offense from what I remember. A few big plays but most of those games the offense struggled as usual I thought.

A&M game was so-so on offense, but we had over 500 yards against UT.

No way in hell Harris attempts more than 12 passes, unless we fall behind by more than one possession in the second half.

I guess my memory is bad on that one. I remember 2 big plays but maybe we were moving it decent that game.

LMAO
I can't for a moment imagine anyone other than a relative if Muschamp defend hS record. We have been unwatchable unless u are a sadist that enjoys 95% run. Fine if thats ur fetish but it's boring as all he'll save the occasional long run for a TD.
Anybody that enjoys Muschamp ball must love soccer cuz it holds the same interest for me.

It's not even four and he's coached over three dozen now.

There wasn't a damn thing impressive about that clusterfvkk at aTm. I guess you could say the 4th quarter against Tenn was ok, not impressive. I guess it is impressive in that it was THE ONE TIME JD completed a longer pass (other than blown coverages).

I Googled the phrase "Air Muschamp" and the only thing that came up were sites titled "Fire Muschamp".
Air Muschamp - too many disasters over the last 3.5 years (especially the Georgia Southern crash). Even when it does get us to our final destination, it is often a harrowing flight with too much time spent on the ground.

Against TAMU we were 14/17 165 yards passing and zero TDs and we ran for 142 yards on 48 carries. We were 3/12 on 3rd down conversions. We had 3 drives over 50 yards that ended in 17 points with the game ending at UF 20 TAMU 17.

Against Tenn we were 14/20 219 yards passing and 2 TDs and we ran for 336 yards on 43 carries. We were 3/13 on 3rd down conversions. For this game UF went 35 yards off an INT to score, kicked 2 FGs after long drives, scored off one play for 80 yards, had an INT that turned into a TD 3 plays later, scored another TD in 3 plays for 79 yards, and the others were FGs.

The Tenn game was more of a complete game although we didn't do well on 3rd down, while TAMU was good defense.

I think we will really start easing him in this game, with a lot more passing to happen vs EKU. The question is, do we trust JD in mop up duty?

JD will be fine with no pressure to perform. Kinda like practice.

We won't pass more than 10 times. You guys thinking we're going to "open up the offense" are smoking dope. Honestly, why would you come to that conclusion? It's certainly not based on history.

He's going to play it as safe as he possibly can to win. If that means no passing at all, so be it. Muschamp teams never do things in preparation for future games. Or does someone have an example that I've forgotten?

:hehehe:
