Do you know what breed of cats they use for their leather?
If/when I decide to tackle the seats, I'd rather just have them professionally reupholstered.
78 is the kind of guy who likes to go to small local car meets to make us "poors" feel interior about our sleds....Those front brakes are massive.
Much as I busted your balls about the color scheme, I must admit it turned out pretty damn good and the wheels look awesome. FWIW - I think your idea for the fuel door is going to look pretty cool.Okay, finally some pics after all the work was done. Gutting and cleaning of the interior, mind-numbing buffing and waxing of the exterior, all new brake rotors and pads, new valve cover gasket, bunch of rotted hoses replaced, new oil cooler, power steering pump, serpentine belt, spark plugs, oil cooler, oil change, coolant flush, and gorgeous new wheels which I absolutely love. I also installed a boost gauge, blacked out the rear emblems, and sprayed the faded front grilles satin black.
Still have a little more work to do, but the car runs great. I'll be powder coating that fuel door satin black. The wet okole seat covers are there (came with the car) because the leather seats are shredded.
That thing looks good. Any thoughts about doing any performance mods after the interior/exterior? It's gotta be pretty quick as it sits? This was more work than I was expecting but pretty happy with how it turned out.
It's quick, not fast. Zero to 60's in the mid 6's, which these days is damn near average. Hell, my 5,000 pound Titan can match that. However, it has a shove-in-the-back turbo that makes great sounds, so it's a lot of fun. That thing looks good. Any thoughts about doing any performance mods after the interior/exterior? You can probably pick up 40-50HP with a down pipe tune and cat delete which will feel HUGE in the car....It's quick, not fast. Zero to 60's in the mid 6's, which these days is damn near average. The (now) black part above the tailpipes. What did you wrap?
I'm starting to think cooter needs a new set of bifocals. The (now) black part above the tailpipes.
That's an Infiniti Q50.Is that one of Crete's Mustangs in your driveway?
