Not really. I’ll give him credit for what he has done and still be critical of the situation. I think he’s light years better than the last two jackasses we hired and have zero faith that the next hire would be any better if Stricklin and Co are still running things.
I’ll also admit that I’m a little biased. My two kids had all but written off Gator football until the 2018 season. These guys had known nothing more than WM and JM garbage football, and miserable, tense games regardless of the opponent. There were times in ‘17 when they actually asked if they could just stay behind, throwing the football with friends, rather than going into the stadium. The last three years have been by far the best years since 2009. They actually want to go again, and my son was livid after Lsu because he expects to win now, whereas he generally just assumed a loss before.
So yes, I’m admittedly hesitant to go back to the “experimental” phase, especially, as I said, knowing who will be making the call. So I guess I’m supportive, though mainly just hoping it does improve so we aren’t in that boat yet again.
