That didn't stop us from taking a run at Stoops in 2002 or from speculating on Gundy now. The guy has built a tremendous offense.

Stoops had been here before, maintained a home at Crescent Beach, and was a semi realistic possibility. You at least ask. by the way I never believed that Jeremy Foley didn't know the answer to the question before he flew to Oklahoma. He just did that silly little show of flying to Oklahoma, then Denver, and then to get his boy Zook who was always his first choice from the beginning. The other stops were just to show us that he checked first.

Gundy is not a top 5 school--he's barely at a top 5 school in the Big 12--and he was pretty clear about considering other offers and being interested in both Tennessee and Arkansas before.

I want to thank Williston, BMF and a few others who keep adding new info to the thread from outside sources. For over a week now I'll come here, skim through the slap fights (of which there are many), and then stop to read the new stuff they post. I always chuckle to myself at all the chaff, sidebar conversations and fights that go on in all our threads.
