Figured they would be.
You can get one for more than 3 times list price from various resellers. I'm content to wait as I'm sure there will be plenty soon enough.

The problem is getting your hands on one. They are in short supply.
Enjoy your vacation- at first I thought you were talk'n bout urg
every time I go into a store I ask if they have received any more since the release date and only 1 store (Target) has received a 2nd shipment, and that was only one unit. I have been in Best Buy 3 times though and forgot to ask each & every time.
A new shipment is supposed to hit GameStop stores this weekend.
just wondering where you got that info. called one of the GS here & they knew nothing about it. did mention that there's supposed to be a website that tracks the shipments to stores, but didn't know what website it was.
Purchase the controller extension cords, a must have.
so it does have extension cords for it. Most excellent, as from what I hear the controller cord length was the biggest issue
You would think they could've built in wireless technology like the other controllers and kept the design, and then just charged a little more. At only $60 bucks, they probably could have gone all the way up to $99 and people would still buy it, just about as much as they are now.The initial cord length is horrible..... poor planning on Nintendo's part.

actually it's perfect planning by Nintendo. How many extension cords do you think will be sold? very little had the original been long enough.
Nintendo isn't the one selling the extensions.. which is why it is curious.
I can attest to the validity of the statement, first handIn japan the rooms are much more compact. Not an issue over there

Was in Besy Buy Saturday, and as I have been for the last month at any place that sales them, asked if they had any in stock. The guy told me that they are doing a re-release on Dec. 20th. So apparently Best Buy, or at least the local Best Buy, has been holding their stock to sale this coming up Tuesday.
I asked why would they do that, it makes no sense. All of the local Game Stops sale them as they come in, and as far as I know, all other retail outlets have as well. He didn't have an answer and just looked at me.
This is either complete BS, or the guy didn't really know what he was talking about.
Anyone else heard this? ..... I know dougie, you already got yours
