Two OCs on staff that have won National Championships :) It will be nice to have an offense again.

From a Michigan staffer on 247.
His tenure at Michigan was not indicative of his abilities as an offensive coordinator.
Michigan's turnover margin was beyond pitiful (worst in the country if I remember right?), and despite Devin Gardner being a great guy and a good ambassador for the University, his play at quarterback was incredibly poor this season.
Nussmeier actually turned around Michigan's running game to an extent and I thought consistently put them in good positions to score. They were just awful in the red zone due to poor quarterback play and inconsistency on the offensive line.
This thread on this hire. Really guys. Can we give the man a chance to coach a game or two before we lynch him?
This. Anyone can make a mistake, but he never should have survived the first year. But I really think Mainland nails it here. Should’ve given Nuss a game or two and them lynched him. It’s one thing to complain, it’s another to have a comprehensive plan of action in place.
I'm going to go on record and say this may be one of the worst OC hires we've had around here in 30 years. His record as an OC is horrible. I'd be shocked if we break an offensive ranking in the top 100 while he is at the helm. In fact, I'll say this: If McElwain keeps him on staff for more than two years it will likely cost him his own job. Terrible hire.
Sure hope I didn't say anything stupid in this thread to get quoted by Swonkey. I didn't even know who the hell Nuss was...
This thread belongs in the hall of fame.
I just reviewed my posts thinking I probably tried to justify the hire at first also. I called it it a sh*tty hire but tried to downplay it by saying Mac would be running the offense and we might be alright because of that. Heck Mac was as much of the problem as Nuss.
Got to give Law some props here he called it a joke hire right off the bat.

It deserves no props. If Ugly had made this hire and we werent all blinded by O&B goggles, we all would have seen it and laughed.Got to give Law some props here he called it a joke hire right off the bat.
One thing we can't forget about that - Alabama had studs.
No offense to our team but I don't see no Eddy Lacey's, TJ Yeldon's, or even McCarron's, and we def don't have their receivers. I feel as if our talent is more equatable to that of UM and we saw how that went for Nuss this year.
Maybe this will work out, I can only hope.
What? He wasn't gone weeks ago?We fired this useless piece of shyt!!!!!
