Think of it this way: If Davis had gotten tackled after making the line to gain, we would have a first down and gone into the victory formation and taken a knee on first down with just over a minute to play. After they reset the ball, we would have taken the 2nd down snap with around 30 seconds to play. There would have been no 3rd down snap. We would have walked off the field. instead, Vandy had the ball with 1:30 remaining and more than a zero percent chance to tie to the game. And certainly much more than a zero percent chance of one of our defenders suffering an injury. Either way the likelihood of them winning was uber-low. However, ....IF Davis had shocked everybody and gone down at the 1, would anybody here actually say he was a pussy dumbass? I wouldn't. Nobody would.
Just admit it, you are so flustered right now you'll say damn near anything. I never said it was impossible. I said it is so improbable that it makes more sense than the other course of action.
um...that's exactly the assumption you made in the post of yours that I quoted. I even bolded it for you yet you deny it. God, you're either the most disingenuous poster around or the dumbest...maybe both. See, this is your typical MO. You make some stupid statement and when you get called out you then try to deflect, divert and change your original premise. You'll even point to a different post you made contradicting yourself as proof that you aren't wrong. You stated that taking a knee rather than scoring maximizes our chance of winning compared to scoring the TD, yet you can't produce anything to support that position. After you got your azz kicked by Swonky, myself and others in the verbal sparring match you then shift gears. This time you're shifting to the "our guys could get injured" card which has nothing to do with winning or losing the Vandy game in the final 98 seconds. The truth is had Davis taken a knee rather than scoring we would have won the game with near certainty but in your moronic way, you profess it to be statistically more likely than winning with a 14 point cushion. I shouldn't have expected much different from you, though. You're the same dumb fcvk that swore up and down a few years ago that a defensive player couldn't recover a fumble on 4th down and return it for yardage, that only the original ball carrier could do that. After I schooled you on that, provided links to the rules, real life examples, etc. you then try to move the goal posts, deflect, divert, deny, etc. rather than just manning up and admitting you were wrong. You're a typical blowhard. If I didn't know better I'd swear that you're Hillary Clinton hiding on the other side of the keyboard, with all the denying and shifting of positions you do.
