I'd like to know Swamp Queen's honest opinion on this coaching staff. She doesn't talk much, and I know you two had high hopes for Muschamp.
I think we all did even though I was afraid of the Peter Principle.

I'm with durty south. He's fielded on good defense when he was here and they was all urbans players.
Don't forget Dan Quinn was the DC as well. The chump is overrated as a defensive mind just like Fooley is overrated as an AD.

You need to post more.

Now back to the regularly scheduled discussion of Squash's small animal.

Thanks. I'll try to do so.

The noles on Rivals are claiming he'll be there next season to be his buddy's DC, and to stick it to UF for firing him.

I could see that. Unlike Zook, who tearfully gave it his all and accepted his fate at that presser, there's no doubt in my mind WM will be anti-UF when he's asked to leave

Dumb question. Can a stipulation in the buy out agreement be placed on where he can coach for the next "X amount of years"? I know they do that when they release Student Athletes out of their commitment. I would like to see something: Can not take a coaching job on any team the Florida will play in the next 3 years.

Kind of strange that it quoted Bart here, because that was me that posted that.

Anyway, I don't think we could do that. The buyout is really just honoring his original contract. So unless that verbiage appeared in there from day 1, not sure we have any way to enforce it. There may have been something about his leaving voluntarily for a rival school. But if/when we ask him to leave, he's free to go where ever he chooses.

So if we had another AD you don't think we would have any of those? This is Florida, not Western Kentucky. It should always attract the best coaching talent, period.

The population EXPLOSION? The money started pouring into the athletic program in the late 80's & 90's allowing us to upgrade everything. Yes, Foley took the ball and ran with it. Great job by him, of course. But to think that we would never have won anything without him is stupid. Billy D was a great hire. And Meyer.

Who said we would have won nothing without him?
