Ever notice how Florida football coaches last about as long as each incarnation of Dr. Who? Ever notice the similarities between the Tardis and Alabama's medical tent?
My theory is that the Timelords are Crimson Tide fans who exiled Dr. Who here to restore order in the universe. Dr. Who first appeared in the form of Steve Addazio and spiked Urban Meyer's beer with Zoloft to make him stop giving a schidt about anything, then every 3 or 4 years, re-incarnated as a new coach with a stubborn streak and a different fatal flaw to disguise the fact that he was the same person. Through 15 years and 5 incarnations, dive plays, midlines, dogs playing quarterback, wakeboarding through recruiting season, and The Process have all served to disguise the fact that we have been running the same brutally painful non-vertical offense throughout the whole time.

I understand your admonishing board members for preemptively projecting a loss. Watching the Mizzou game, I thought, "holy fuche, we might just win this". We were close, but to some, the staff lost the game(again). To clarify: From your POV, is the team on the right track- that the staff is functioning well and that future success will happen when the talent we face is equaled?

From my POV, I’ve never said anything like that. We’ll see how it plays out. In the meantime, I’m just a fan, and I’ll be screaming my ass off in the stands Saturday night.

We have such a dearth of talent and effort on the LOS it is actually remarkable. USF scored 48 on Charlotte last night and had almost 600 yards of offense. Their OL was dominating the same defense that we managed to score 22 against 7 weeks ago. Regardless of Star ratings or talent composite numbers our linemen on both sides just LOOK unatheletic, slow and weak in every game. No matter whether BN chased them off or Mullen refused to recruit, we absolutely suck in the trenches. Until that changes, Offense and Defense will continue to struggle mightily.
