2/3 stars is the new standard around here for the pumpers bc you know we got the really good three stars who are WAAAAAAY better than Vandy and Kintucky's three stars.

Yeah, don't let the facts I just listed above get in the way of a good b!tch fest. God forbid you recognize all the good in the offensive class.

The three legs of the football program stool are head coach, facilities and assistant pay.
Changing one of the legs (coach) ain't gonna make the stool taller.
Getting a new carpenter (Foley) will.

Nailed it !

Seriously? Man, you must really be seeing the glass half empty. As I said, I was disappointed with our overall defensive recruiting. But think objectively for a moment about offense.

- 4* QB who was a long time committ to LSU flipped to UF.

- Four 4* receivers, three of which are EE's, the value of which cannot be overestimated, as this was clearly a huge weakness. The other was a last minute flip and ranked the number two WR in the NATION. Another 4* JC WR who possesses elite speed. Total of FIVE 4* WR's to fill a huge weakness on O.

- Two elite 4* RB's. One was ranked NUMBER ONE JC running back in the nation. The other, an Alabama native was being personally recruited by Saban and bama and he choose UF anyway.

- I am pleased with the quality of OL we got. Three really good ones. One EE which may pay dividends in the Fall. I would have rather we signed at least one more, preferably two. But at least we have numbers on the OL again, though they'll still be really young next year.

- the NUMBER ONE kicker in the country who we flipped from bama. Yes, I count that as offense, especially considering the number of points we missed out on over the years with Hardin. Hell! Mac almost completely quit even ATTEMPTING FG's the last few games of the season. That has to greatly impact offensive game planning not to mention just being COMPLETELY demoralizing.

- We missed at TE which really sucks. But we have numbers there right now. We'll need to land a couple there next year and hopefully at least one will be elite.

Basically our misses were one TE and one OL. Considering how absolutely pathetic our O looked the second half of the season, I thought Mac did a stellar job recruiting offensive recruits and selling them on what his offense "could" look like.

I don't know how you look at that offensive class not be impressed with what he was able to put together. Unless of course, you say it was incomplete in the absence on another OL. We didn't really NEED a TE in this class so I say, two more, even one more really good OL and I would've given it an A+. As is I give it an A or A- at the very least.

A good QB pickup I agree - I just don't like seeing all those other SEC teams above us in a lot of positions when it came to recruiting this year after the bad recruiting year we had last year. Like I said before I like the WR class but don't like we keep playing second fiddle it appears to a lot of the very top recruits coming out of high school at most positions. We used to never play second fiddle to anyone in the SEC when it came to recruiting now we are routinely doing just that. The 2nd recruiting class is when new UF coaches usually clean house and are top 5-6 area or better usually.

Only Mac can change this back to the way it used to be. If he can put a balanced offense on the field and show people and recruits that he can develop players as well as scheme around lack of experience at the QB and offensive line positions then this program could rise pretty quickly....if this coming season is sub par with putrid offensive play, forget about it until the next coach takes over....

I don't think he's a good fit for Meyer's system. I'm not saying he won't go there, but a different school would be better. Some of the Pac 12 schools may be a good option for him. I just hope he goes somewhere where I won't have to hear about him much.

I'm surprised there is no interested parties... but he doesn't need to transfer until the Fall. He is losing all of next season with a transfer to a D1 school and 6 games of the following season. He will be eligible for the NFL draft after this lost year due to transfer. It's hard to justify accepting a transfer for a kid, who doesn't have to play a down for you.

At this point, I think going to a 1-AA school is the smartest move for him. Can anyone say Will Grier and the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens?

He CAN'T play 1AA without sitting out the six games. JuCo is his only chance to play a full year.

I have a feeling the NFL will want to see more than just 5 good quarters against real competition before using a draft pick on a QB.

This kid.....and his Father, has royally screwed himself. I bet the Grier ego is somewhat bruised with no one jumping at their feet. With a one year penalty on the failed test, yeah lets add another year to it with a transfer to a D1 school. Wait for it........don't forget about the 6 games! No one is really jumping at the chance to sign a QB that you can't even count on til Mid season 2017.

I mentioned that earlier, but he also isn't going to get to the 26/27 games they prefer either. In my opinion he will need to play the 18 games that are available to him to maximize his draft potential.... But the way his family works there is a risk of him not seeing an NCAA snap again.

After 2013 rule change, a player has to use up his NCAA eligibility to be available for the Canadian Football League draft.

Sooo...... hookers & blow are ok? PEDs are ok? No sit-out time frame?

I think we have our answer. WG is headed to the CFL, but his dad is trying to negotiate that the coaches and players speak to him in American because Will and his dad don't understand Canadian, eh?

Grier is in no hurry to pick a college, is he? Does he have to be enrolled in school attending classes for his penalty to be in effect?

Is he technically still enrolled and attending classes at UF?

My guess, is that the Grier family is waiting it out as long as possible to see what the QB situation is going to be at his preferred schools before he makes a decision.
