Geez, I didn't mean to create a malstorm with my comment of "Harvard of the South"......figure of speech, but I am proud that we have brought up our academic level. Most of our fans do not care a thing about the University - only football. Those of us who actually attended the U, care about both.
"Harvard of the South" is hard for us oldsters to understand remembering how easy your standards used to be. But you should be proud of your higher standards. It helps the area, the State, and the nation.

1. Gators never cheer for uga.
2. Gators never cheer for fsu.

Totally agree. Are you saying you can stomach cheering for duh u? They along with f$u probably did more to change the culture of college football for all the wrong reasons than anyone else. Hence, I prefer the meteor arrives a nobody wins the game. I'm kidding... But not really.

If it means that fsu fans (even 1) are in agony, yes. I relish every moan of displeasure. Every wail of sorrow. Every salty tear. I find great joy in their losses. Ditto for uga, even more so.

Ill walk back my comment about UM football being dead for good.Thats a long time.
US News & World Report ranks UF 47th and UM 51st which is about how I remember it 10-15 years ago the last time I looked though I think UM was a spot ahead of us.
F$U is 96th so good for them because they were in the 100's last time I checked.

Just want to add that it costs 5x as much to go to UM as to go to UF.

Yes, I am of the feminine persuasion and a well seasoned one. I will turn 78 years young April 3rd. And, hey, I understand the comments about meteors, misguided air strikes, tears, etc.as I feel that way toward OSU, ND and FSU.

I am hoping that all of FSU's QB's are no good this year. Kaaya should be in his prime and we have some great WR's and RB's.plus we finally have depth and experience on the OL but some lacking in DB's. For the first time in quite a few years, I am really looking forward to football season.

This just goes to show you that you guys know NOTHING!!! Houston Baptist has a quality QB.

http://www.hbuhuskies.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=2524&path=football

Yep! 84 Comp 192 Att for 43.8% 5 TD's 9 INTs 1109 yards with a long of 49 with 53 Rush Att for -105 yds!

He would've been better than Treon! :brad:

I meant to add this quote from his Head Coach last Friday at the conclusion of Spring Practice

"I do think we're still working on trying to become great technicians of footwork and we are trying to become masters of great throwing form, so that putting the ball on target is a challenge where those guys need to make improvement. You hope we are making that progress and when they don't make a completion in practice, you get mad, because you want to see improvement as a coach, but I'm comfortable they are making some progress."

Sure, he would. So would Morningweg (who wasn't nearly as bad as you people made him out to be). Any passing QB would be better than a spread RB faux QB. I hope we never sign another (unless it's to play receiver or CB).

Yes, cause Morningweg's stats for last season against Ivy League level competition:

PASSING GP.. Effic... Cmp-Att-Int ......Pct..... Yards ...TD ...Long... Avg/G
Morn, S.....10....101.9 .. 148- 252-11 .....58.7 ... . 1321... . 6 ... .. 35 .. .. 132.1

So we have two ex QB's, both who threw almost twice as many picks than TD's against opponents of lesser quality than Florida's opponents, yet you think they would have been better against SEC competition than these stats?

PASSING ....... GP . Efficiency ... Comp-Att-Int ... Pct .. .. Yards .. TD . Long . . Avg/G
Harris, Treon ... 12 ... 118.08 ..... ..... 119-235-6 ....50.64 %.. 1676 ..... 9 ..... 66 ..... 139.67

McElwain thought Treon was the best option we had. I believe him.

You will get kicked off the board if you don't admit that Treon was the worst QB in history and that everyone on the team including the 4th string punter was better.
