The slimiest part of this whole saga is LSU has been trying to leverage what could have been a natural disaster into an extra home game from the very beginning. Given their history with hurricanes, that's some shameful sh*t right there.
That's a "Shameful sh*tty state" with a lot of "Shameful sh*tty politicians" so it's no surprise they would pull something like this. Smh!

So well put in so few words. This is what has me the most outraged about this whole slimy thing.

I've been biting my tongue all week. It's ridiculous.
I haven't. I can't. Gas shortages Thursday through Monday. Evacuee traffic on highways. Stores depleted of foodstocks on weekend. State of emergency in the state. Players whose families were fleeing or without power, water, etc. Why is that so difficult to comprehend? It doesn't even make sense to bring more people into that kind of situation. It's irresponsible.

I clicked on this thread to express my disapproval for this - that the LSU leadership were acting childishly and this is some bull. However, after skimming a few pages, I think this thread has quite enough of this...

This is ****ing incredible that our pussy ass administration would concede this...

I hope you fans who have tickets whether packaged or season demand your money back
This was a complete cave by Fooley. He's a typical lightweight negotiator. He was steamrolled by the LSU AD. We needed this home game THIS year, especially for recruiting. That is, if Mac can actually recruit. We end up being down 2 home games this year. It was bad enough to spit the bit over the postponement to begin with but then he acted guilty by completely caving. What a putz.

Foley did a great job based upon the situation. We had to play this game this year, LSU refused to budge, so he got it done to in the most advantageous way to UF

I think Obama should force the Baton Rouge merchants to funnel 50% of their profits to the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce.

All in favor?

Agreed! They should have to pay their fair share!

As bad as Foley looks in all this and he looks awful, Alleva is going to the ultimate loser. He is a AD on the hotseat, that went against the SEC Commissioner (who currently lacks a set of stones) and apparently other A.D.'s in the conference for how he handled this situation. He botched the Les Miles issue last year, and years ago at Duke botched the Duke Lacrosse handling. He won the short term over an A.D. who is half out the door, but in the long term I think he is going to feel it.

I agree with this 100%. The LSU AD didn't budge and didn't care if LSU was not eligible for the SEC Title game by not playing the game. He has already fired his coach and basically given up on the season and the chance at the SEC title, so why not use that as leverage over a Florida team that has a shot and screw them over.

I'm not sure Foley had much of a choice here. He could have not played the game at all and risked UF winning out and not being eligible for the SEC title game... that would have been worse.

He got the game in 2017 moved which obviously had to happen and I think he made the commit to it not being a night game. The whole situation sucks and LSU's AD is complete a**hole

Given that you had to play this game this year, what would have been a better outcome?
The game doesnt HAVE to be played and if LSU refuses to buyout their cupcake then fvkk them. Only you delusionals that think this is a championship team thinks it matters.

This may well knock us out of a bowl and goes from being a six million dollar mistake to a twelve million dollar mistake.

But Fooley is all about multimillion dollar mistakes.

At the very least, he should have waited to see if we lose to Mizzu.

I think we have a shot at the title. The SEC East is not that good and while I don't think we are either... if Bama beats UT... I can see us winning the rest of our games.

When you look at LSU's schedule... they got the home game, but they have a really tough stretch (Bama, Arkansas, Florida and A&M) It is a short week when they play A&M... they are going to be beat to **** and demoralized by the time they play us.

Even if we finish 5-6, we'll be in John and Ernie's Roadside Fruit Stand Bowl. We'll petition the NCAA to allow us to be bowl eligible due to the Presbyterian game getting dumped.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but HURRICANE SEASON IS NOT OVER!!!!!! How fitting would it be for a storm to cost lswho a home game this year?? Or better yet, get the UF game back to Gainesville. A hurricane has hit the US as late as Nov. 22!! Would be the ultimate CARMA!

Payback is hell and one day LazyAssU might find itself in a similar situation. Don't come knocking on our door for help.

With the Foley/Alleva/SEC-Sankey decision coming down, UF actually receives a net 3 game negative swing for this year in Gainesville.. Loss of game on Oct. 8, Loss of makeup game not being played in Gainesville, Loss of Presbyterian game in Gainesville. Yes, UF get one back next year with LSU. Now it becomes another 11 game season. I assume that UF wins with Missouri, and South Carolina. But with GA, ARK, LSU and FSU, all considerably 50/50 games and at worst losing those games......UF has a 6-5 record. Taking the Presbyterian AND LSU games away snatches defeat from the jaws of victory when it come to great recruiting visits. Now LSU gets another opportunity for those recruiting visit....some of which are the same players.
