Like Bart said, he's proven he can voice his opinion without resorting to personal attacks on folks that see things differently. Lol 6 picks in 20 known attempts since leaving his high school. Last person to watch bowl practice tweeted all he saw was one pass from Franks and it was picked off. Trask mentioned about picking things up fast by the coaches.

I hope he gets over it but it sounds like he is struggling even since the Spring game.

If LDR is healthy for summer camp he will be your starter for the 1st game and I'll go as far as to say he will be the starter until the east is of reach or he is injured. Mac is a coward and won't take a risk he's calculated in everything he does. He hired familiar faces even after knowing they were fired from bama and stunk up the join at Michigan. He sees that he sucks and he still won't fire them because that's a risk.

I dont think so myself. It would get less backlash putting a young guy in there than letting LDR get hammered with his weak arm against Michigan.

Finally watched some tape of Trask in high school and was surprised the passes he was completing to receivers that had good coverage on them. He may have been the backup due to their system and that other QBs running ability and them scoring a ton of points but you dont see many QBs in high school consistently dropping the ball in tight windows like that. Heck with all of Franks tape he doesnt drop as many in there at all with tight coverage like that. I think this kid will be starting at some point next season even if its because another QB gets yanked. I see how he impressed them at FNL.

It's the reason we got him. We did the same with Slaton. We did it with Cronk but Cronk wouldn't move positions. Get them on campus. Then, try and talk them into moving positions. Toney will be playing WR before his career at UF is over.

Wait... Cronkrite was to move positions? Where would he have gone? Honest question.

Ok, so I scanned three pages worth of message board drama in order to cure my curiosity. Was Cronk asked to move positions or is this just a statement without truth to back it up? I really liked him and thought he was a nice change of pace type back who could possibly play a variety of positions like a percy harvin / brandon james type. I know that's a stretch on comparison, but you get my point.

Good point. He's kinda lost already if LDR starts that game. He would have to have a super human game and win by a lot to barely move the enthusiasm meter. But if one of the new guys even loses in a valiant effort, at least we tried and did something different.

I agree. Let's not be dramatic. Toney will get his chance to work out at the position but will be playing another position in the fall. LDR just had shoulder surgery and will be out through the summer. More than likely he will not be 100% by fall. It will be Franks, Trask, or possibly a graduate transfer.
