Trump will invite the Gators to the White House at season end for a congratulatory photo op. Melania will be sporting a Gator blue football shirt.

*Michigan (in Dallas) - L
Northern Colorado - W
Tennessee - W/L
@ Kentucky - W
Vanderbilt - W
Louisiana State - W/L
Texas A&M - W
*Georgia (in Jacksonville) - W
@ Missouri - W
@ South Carolina - W
Alabama Birmingham - W
Florida State - L

I see Michigan and FSU being L's with LSU and UT being tossups.
If LDR starts (and he won't  ) then UGA and UK eill be tossups too with LSU and UT being L's

so 8-4 to 10-2 (I'd be willing to say 9-3).

6-6 to 8-4 under LDR. He has no business being on the field.

*Georgia (in Jacksonville) - L, drained from aTm we meet Smart looking to make a name for himself, and he does

No they do not. Feel free to ask the pumpers and they will disagree with you. Ask ground and get back to me.

Not sure where you took a wrong turn on this one but dude...come on.

Well you pumpers are always making excuses like this. I guess I just have higher standards for the program and staff than you do.

What about 2014, we were lucky as hell to win that one 10-9. Tennessee choked 2 years in a row against us.

I hate to say it and know its a spring game but that new QB at TN looked pretty good in that game with some nice passes and they weren't all against 3rd string or walk on DBs like Mac allowed Franks to get his few long passes against.

I think a TN or UK loss is not 100% out of the question if the defense drops like most think it will and we have a problem at the QB position still. It wouldn't surprise me at all to split those 2 games if we haven't found a decent QB yet.

I don't expect much drop off on the defense (though there may be some), UNLESS injuries arise again. If we stay healthy, they'll be fine, but it wouldn't take much to knock us off track, that's for sure, and don't think teams won't know that.

I can see this team going at best 9-3 and at worse going 6-6 if we get hit hard with the injury bug. I will settle with 8-4 prediction. The depth and inexperience on defense is very concerning, and it doesn't look like we have the QB play to allow the offense to compensate for a potentially struggling defense. It's also hard to say who those loses will be to. Last year Mac lost some games he should have won, and won a game he should have lost. I can see the same thing happening this year. We will lose a game or two or more to teams that we should beat, and we'll probably win an upset or two to prevent this season from being a complete disaster.

How do you lose 6-7 draft picks to the nfl and have little drop off with out reloading in recruiting? If we were Bama...I might agree with you but this is pure homerism at its finest.

Because I think the guys up front (projected starters) are fine and will be good starters.
The problem is the big drop off behind them. Please read what I wrote. I'm expecting some stepback from last year, but I'm not expecting a huge drop off UNLESS injuries arise, I don't see why this is controversial.

I guess you'll just prefer your pure dumperisms :dunno:

Sounds like 8-4 seems to be the average between the optimists and the pessimists. So here's the next question...

We go 8-4, and then what? Is the consensus at this point that 8-4 is good enough for another year of mac? I'm not asking whether you think it will actually result in another year; Im asking you if you think it "should."

You said you don't expect much drop off...lol. That doesn't sound like much to me. Some or not much? I'm tapping out right now. You don't expect much drop off. We'll revisit during the year.

For the fans, no.
I'm honestly not so sure anymore bro. In a vacuum I dont know anyone happy about 8-4... but when you couple an 8-4ish type record with Mac, quite a noticeable amount of the same fans that say 8-4 isnt good enough in a vacuum seem to have little trouble defending it.

Yea, as in I don't think we are going to see a huge dropoff..again, I don't see what is controversial about this.

not much is still some. I'm saying they won't be as good as last year, but we aren't going to see a huge drop off, unless injuries arise, which I'm saying for the 3rd time now. If the injury bug hits, it ain't gonna be good.

Some is more than none but not a huge drop...why are you nitpicking words....never mind we know why ;)

Like I said, for the fans, it won't be good enough. This is year 3. This should be the year that any coaching staff should make gains IF they are going to make gains, no matter where the first 2 years were.
8-4 is enough to grant a 4th year (as far as the school goes, not the fans), I'm pretty sure 7-5 is good enough to not be fired until next season. 7-5 starts a serious search though, but you said not to talk about that in your first post

8-4 and the fans will be hot...and rightfully so.

Personally, if LDR starts, Mac is as good as gone. However, Franks starting could make all the difference. (Maybe even Zaire, but that's up in the air again), but I'd rather let Franks loose.
I want to expect 9-3, with 10-2 and 8-4 not being out of the possibility depending on how things shake out. It all hinges on the QB.

It would get him another year but the thing that scares me is he is likely to survive a 7-5 year also. Imo another 8-4 or worse year with a crappy offense again should get him canned.
