Given that obvious answer, why are schools spending so much on all the other crap? We need to get the message to Strickland that he needs to plant scantily clad women around the facilities to help our recruiting.

You mean like how all the recruits in the 90's happened to pass the field near the dorms where the girls were sun bathing... that was just an accident I am sure.....

St. Richt must drive his team (and recruits) through South Beach on the way to the stadium.

I truly want to understand this post. But the spelling/grammar issues are just atrocious. Smoking mirrors.
I'll take that as you agree with my statement but don't want to admit it so instead you turned into the grammar police like were in grade school still and not on a forum.

We're actually in on a bunch of highly ranked guys. Way more than last year. If we have a good season and land Justin Fields, I think we actually could have a top 5 class. I'm not on any sunshine pumper side here. It's just where we stand right now.
Don't it always seem that the guy we have now always finishes as a bridesmaid and never a bride when it comes to recruiting

Mac is a YUGE closer. This thread is totally premature. This is the year Mac gets us into the top 5 in Feb!!!
We don't have the numbers this year to be top 5. It's going to be a small class.

USC 2010 begs to differ.
Look at the last 4 years. Of the 20 top 5 classes only 4 signed less than 24. So it's unlikely to land a top 5 class with only 22-23 spots.
The average class size for top 5 is 25.7.

Edit: It was 4 out of 20.

You think if we land Fields and CB Surtain Jr. we won't be top 5? I don't care if it's 22-23 kids in the class. That'll be top 5. But yeah as somebody else said we're the bridesmaid still until he lands somebody like Fields. It has been pretty pathetic that Richt and Kirby have come in and sold their programs better.

What? What I posted was a fact. I know those are terrible things these days but that's. Life. Its not my problem you can't handle them.

If we beat Michigan and the recruits see the upswing in offense we should be headed to a top 10 class again.

I don't know. Let me look it up.
2014
OSU 3rd had one 5*
2015
F$U 3rd had five 5*s
2016
Nobody
2017
OSU 2nd had six 5*s
F$U 5th had four 5*s

So the classes that were less than 24 also signed an average of four 5*s. I don't see four 5*s on our list. Maybe one to three. It can be done of course though. I think we're around 6th with a 5* or 10th without.

Not sure if serious. Richt sucked at pulling in some elite guys the last few years but the man can get elite players. See AJ Green, Stafford, Chubb, even Eason. The problem was in big games and the last few years he was lazy at recruiting the OL and on defense. He's kicking Mac's ass right now
Ah yeah, serious. Richt always pulled in some great talent and had some great defenses. My whole point is we've seen Rev. Richt for 15 + years and he cannot get it done even with elite talent and his schtik will be the same at scUM. And his problem has not been over the last few years, it was his entire career at UGAly. He will not have the #1 class come signing day. Wayyyyy to early.

What he did at UGA has zero barring at UM. He can sell progress. He won 145 games during most of the SECs glory years. It doesn't matter what we've seen. Recruits see differently and we don't have a Meyer to fight for in state talent against FSU and now UM. We'll see richt in 3 years and we'll see how he does against the new HC with a roster built by Mac
