I think it was the correct call to scrap the game, but could this give Butters a ready made excuse just in case an average UT team comes to G'ville and beats UF? : "Well you know we did not have an opportunity last week to work out some of our wrinkles from the first game b/c we did not play, so all we could do is go against each other and both sides have seen everything so it was difficult to prepare and yet you know we only get so many opportunities and we were not able to take advantage of that opportunity last week. So we had to sit around and not have the opportunity to be excited about having our first home game so the players were kind of down. So when your first home game turns out to be a tough conference game, we really did not have the opportunity to work on those things that we had put a plan in for after the opening game. But we will continue to prepare like we know how and look forward to the next opportunity". Or something like that. I can already see Butters sitting down and drafting his excuse in case UT drops us!
