If I read it correctly, it's a "Sub-Lease" meaning the original lease is for the whole apartment and they are "Sub-Leasing" each room under the umbrella of a lease. They aren't 4 individual leases.
You can sublease an individual room if each room is its own lease

No, those would be subleases or a sublet.

The lease would be for the entire property, the 4 bedroom apartment in this case. A sublease, or sublet, would be the individual rooms. A sublease is of property to a subtenant.

Not in this instance.

From personal experience of a place like this. Each room is technically it's own apartment. When you sign your lease you are signing for your "apartment" only.

Lol the showers at our frat house by the north endzone were open community showers with four or so shower heads in one space. Heck we had three crappers in there with no stalls. Made for great conversations some mornings.

We're cool. My experience is what I've explained, you experience is of what you explained. Unless either of us saw the lease agreement contract I gues we could both be right or wrong.

Either way :fistbump:

If he is getting kicked out you really thinks he cares wether or not his apartment gets rented ?
Um... if he's in a contractual agreement for a period of time, then he'll yes he would care about getting someone else on the hook for that obligation. Otherwise, he's due the funds of the agreement whether or not he's kicked out of school.

Right. And if he's kicked out of school do you really think the first thing he thought of his credit score ?

Jebus dude, if you are in a contractual agreement for an apartment, it ain't the credit score you'd worry about, it's the financial implications that you'd be on the hook for. That or court.

And if he can't pay it goes to small claims and he gets a judgement against him. I'm sure he's really concerned about it if he's being kicked out of UF
