Why do you all keep watching this garbage?

For sure my fanaticism has been extinguished a bit.
Lol... Yeah, all that I wrote about being an excessive fan is one thing. I definitely don't find any enjoyment these days. I spend most of the game cursing at the screen and I don't generally curse much in reality.

The basketball team is a top ten program and the other sports win championships. Those are worthy of your attention, but not Gator football since its garbage.

that doesn’t make me a bandwagon fan. That makes me somebody with perspective. If I’m going to take time away from my family to watch a game I want to be entertained.

Not a raving lunatic pissed off at the world.

I’m not sure what other sport to name at UF since we compete at every single one of the others. So no matter what I name, you’ll say “we’re good at that” well guess what? We should be good at football. We have the most fertile recruiting base in the country.

Nobody here is going to give you a pass for not watching the football games dude. The game yesterday was so bad I considered changing the channel but I couldn't do it. I suspect most people that take the time to post about Gator football on message boards feel the same way.

Yesterday officially burnt me out.

I've never seen a gator team quit the way they did and they quit on the first play. It was beyond pathetic.

Recruit over them, let them transfer, I don't care. A performance like that and you don't deserve to wear these colors.

I love the gator brand as much as the next guy. I have been a fan for a long time. I am highly disappointed in the current state of our program right now but the thought of a new go getter coming in to turn things around helps to ease the pain. I just hope we get our guy. That being said, I recorded the game and went out for lunch with my wife. I then came home and fast forwarded it to live TV and then watched the remaining game. Its really pathetic how a flagship university with so many resources can be in this current state of affairs. Its unbelievable to many. I will continue to watch this mess in some capacity while I pray for a quick turnaround after we get our guy. Go Gators.

I will say it's tough to watch the players quit when the fans keep turning out, week after week, year after year. The fans deserve better than that.

That is a reflection on PB&Mac and it's becoming more and more apparent what a weasel the SOB was.

I watch because I love my Gators. I watch because I was hopeful with Mac gone, maybe his "aww shucks it's ok to lose, we're just happy to be here" attitude left with him. Yesterday was the first time I've turned off the TV before the end of the game. I actually turned it off in the 3rd quarter when the score was 35-9. I turned it off, not because I stopped loving my Gators, but because it broke my heart to see them quit on the University that pays for their education and free advertisement of their skills on national TV. I was embarrassed for the university, and every fan like me that turns that TV on or goes to the stadium to watch the game every Saturday. It was heart breaking to witness and I just had to turn it off. First time I can ever remember turning off a Gator football game before the clock struck 00:00. It was a sad day for Gator football yesterday. Those boys simply quit.

I quit watching after the aTm game. Lost all interest and it's no longer fun. Also why I quit posting in the Sportsbook. It takes a lot of time that I have to make, and there's just far too many other things. It was fun when we have purpose. When there's no purpose, it's no longer fun.

I have never not watched a game due to our poor play and never will. I am considering packing it in this next game since our players (with a few exceptions) have quit. Part of the culture problem now is rewarding this type of behavior. So, I may DVR it and check Cover 2’s post, and if they actually put in an effort (win or lose) I will watch.

I have a lot of painting to do around the house, so that actually sounds more enjoyable than watching a team who has quit on their university and their scholarship’s.

I quit watching mostly because there is absolutely zero enjoyment. Football is supposed to be fun and these trash coaching staffs that retard fooley has brought in have sucked every ounce of fun out of it. Its also infinitely more miserable to watch an absolutely awful team in every aspect, when they are YOUR team.

The other reason I dont watch much anymore is because I have a lot going on and not that much time to dedicate to the tv on saturdays. Between grad school, army schools and upcoming deployment training, work related travel, and spending time with my 2 year old boy while still working to find some time for me and my wife, there just isn't much time left in the day, and what little there is I'd much rather spend doing something either 1) productive, or 2) enjoyable.

Spending 4 hours of my Saturday watching a QB take more sacks than a gay porno and a team suck harder than a black hole is not high on the priority list at this point. If that makes me a "bad" or "fair weather" gator, I really don't care. There is nothing gator about this team or coaching staff. The entire group embodies entitlement, laziness, apathy, and total ineptitude; none of which represent the Florida football brand that I know and love. When the football program gets back to taking themselves and their performance seriously, I will as well.

I usually watch till I start getting ticked off with our performance, and I’ll usually turn off the tv and listen to it on the radio. Hearing how bad we’re playing just ain’t as bad as seeing it and plus it usually keeps me from cursing in front of my kids and acting like an idiot over a game.

I care too much to watch. I might ask those who insist that they are great Gators if they support say those several women's teams that we have. Were you unhappy when the soccer team lost but put out a very good effort. Do you know about the vollyball team? I follow all of them, I don't watch some because I have other priorities, but I care about all of them. And I read somewhere that the president might be fired over this football stuff, they don't know what a college is or what his responsibilities are.

Sure Foley's results with our past football coaches is not what we (or he) desired, but if you believe he wanted it to be as it is or does not care I think a bridge in NYC should be sold to you.

This is the real identity of a Mac coached team. Him being gone pulled the covers off this disaster piece. What a total fraud.

Further proves Foley did zero due dillegence when looking into Asselwain and his merry men of Crap. It's clear he went for the most desperate piece of garbage in the pit, a guy willing to pay his own buyout, over quality proven guys who could lead us back to the promise land.

This was me near the end of last season and the reason I initially stepped back from watching each and every second. I was just in a foul mood on a regular basis and wasn't able to separate that mood from the other things in my life. I started getting snappy with my wife and my son on game days to the point where my wife noticed it and was calling me out for it. And she was right. The level of frustration and irritation this sht staff and sht team put me in week after week was affecting all of my household relationships. So that's when i decided to take a step back; just wasn't worth it.

I'm sure there will be a few self-righteous individuals who'll have some pompous comments about me not being "mature" enough to manage my emotions or being a poor spouse/father but it's just white noise at this point so don't bother.

Dude you're not that different than me....I used to let the losses ruin the rest of my Saturday and hang a cloud over my Sundays. Until the last year of Muschamp I literally cared too much....Everytime I got banned from a sports forum it was after a loss.

I still have the game on if I'm at home, it's a lot like watching a train wreck out of the corner of your eye:lol:, but most of the time I stay busy catching up with work, screwing around my cars, messing with my son and grandchildren...Something in fact anything to keep me from getting consumed by what we know will be nothing more than another sh!t show....I still get a slight tinge of excitement when I see one of our guys running toward the end zone, although lately they always seem to fumble, trip or get tackled before crossing the line:facepalm:, so I don't go crazy and shotgun a beers like I used to do....

I'm not alumni, none of my kids go there(yet?) and I'm not a big time Booster so I'm not going to feel bad for not letting myself get too emotionally invested while the program is in it's current state and I certainly don't find fault with others tuning out at times like these. Saturday's and weekends are like currency when it comes to a man with a family...spend it wisely and like an investment(UF football) I see no sense in putting too much into something that is not returning at that time...Like most other good investments UF football will be back though.
