Just witnessed another BS obstruction call in the Oregon-Wash game. Catcher standing in front of the plate, out of the way of baserunners, buses, and aircraft carriers, but the throw took her up the line and she was called for it.
However, the play prior to that one was a force play at home; throw went to third base side, catcher missed it but delivered a solid punch right to the kisser of the baserunner. Mehh, that's okay though.

Bad call at home plate. Our catcher made the tag. Ump blew the call. Why no review on that?

We should have been out of this inning with a 4-1 lead. Blown call by ump and now we’re down 5-4 after the 3 run bomb by UCLA.

Why wasn’t there a replay review on the play at home? Any idea?

If you ever want to know when an ump determines a game this is it. Replay clearly shows that inning should have ended with UF up 4-1. Umpire mistake makes it 5-4.

I'm not sure if they have that in softball. Really wishing they did right now.
And if they do and it wasn't used, than that is even more ridiculous given that just completely changed this game and was clearly a blown call. Announcers thought it was correct at first, but even they admitted it was an obvious wrong call after the replay.

No reviews in college softball. They got 5 runs on 1 hit. Bad calls happen and are part of the game. You just have to be mentally tough, bear down and do your job. Barnhill got rattled after the error and never got her composure back. Hopefully they can battle back and pull it out. Otherwise, they drop into the other bracket and will have to beat the Oklahoma.Arizona St. winner tomorrow night and then Washington twice on Sunday just to get to the championship series. Tough.

Total fcvk job by the home plate ump...cost us the game and maybe our season. Barnhill shares the blame, too. She seems to get rattled pretty easily for someone who is supposed to be so dominant.

She’s got to get mentally tougher. She’s also been here 3 years why the hell hasn’t she learned to throw an off speed pitch yet. You can’t throw the same speed to good hitters eventually they are going to time you up. The umpiring tonight was a total screw job just like 2011 against Arizona State calling pitches a foot outside strikes.
