West Palm Beach. Dug in and riding it out. Still moving slowly west which is better for Palm Beach county but not so good for SW Florida. Impending long term power outage will be miserable.

Been there too many times. Wish you the best. My in laws chose to do the same.

So far, we're still planning on staying but if this thing makes a bee line for Tampa/St Pete I may just use my teleporter that I built with spare parts from my Mac inspired broken tv sets and chump approved broken whiteboards

Damn. What a change of expectations from this thing raping the east coast to raping the west coast.

Good luck to everyone.

It's looking like Durty may be right. but the front may be moving out of the way, so possible a north turn soon

Something I noticed while out in the stores shopping for supplies, apparently hurricanes are good for your colon.

Yes, towards Lousiana/Texas.

That would be the worst thing possible, in history many of these storms go through the slot and turn north. Let's hope that does not happen.

Not the worst thing possible, use your logic. Place is already F'd. Emergency response is already familiar with the area. People already evacuated. No let's F up a new area for no good reason.

Tell that to our members on the west coast of Florida.

I thought I just did, would you prefer to still get most of the damage on the west coast and have say Houston and New Orleans hit again with a cat 5 or just take the hit at full strength and spare them? Not that we can change its path or strength.

We are to be Americans, so I would be quite happy with this deal.

Are you happy that say Cuba took some strength out of the storm? I sure am.

I remember when man tried to weaken them by cloud seeding, it did not work and was dangerous.

I think I have enough alcohol for a packed AA meeting if all its members wanted to give in.
