Smart had 3 or 4 freshmen playing OL last year and has started a true freshman QB both years.

Butterteeth inherited two 4 star QBs and similarly fvkked up OL and a defense stuffed w NFLers. So yeah, we agree that Smart had it much, much rougher.

On the the OL, yes the situation Smart had was bad, but not on the same level as ours. Having 5 scholarship linemen post Spring is on a different level.

On the QBs, yes we had two 4*'s on paper. Grier was a legit ranking and showed signs of promise before being busted for PED's midseason. Treon was a "4* QB/Athl" like many of these kids who rely on athleticism in HS. That typically has a shelf life at this level and he was a prime example. Not to mention in his 2 seasons here, I'm not sure he ever went more than 5 games or so without some form of legal issue and/or suspension. I'd take a grad transfer and 5* who actually played an entire year over the mess we had in 2015. But admittedly, that's subjective and somewhat splitting hairs.

Bottomline, uga canned their HC in 2015 because they felt they had hit a wall of 9-10 win seasons. We fired WM because he was an absolute clown who had us circling the drain, at 4 and 6 wins in his final 2 years. There's a reason Richt was being interviewed the following week and was quickly snatched up by another P5 team, while WM was immediately relegated to a coordinator role, before begging his way into a second chance opportunity where no one else wanted to go.

In any event, I've already said that regardless of initial starting point, Smart has his team firing on all cylinders, which in 2.5 seasons, JM has yet to accomplish. So it's really moot at this point.

Unless you watch Bambi (crying) or your putting is as bad as mine (cursing). But it sounds like a good plan.

Welcome gvet90. Glad you're hear, safe and sound -- especially sound.

Congrats to our outstanding coaching staff:

UGA opens with largest betting margin over Florida in over 30 years

https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/g...pens-largest-betting-margin-florida-30-years/

The betting line for the Florida-Georgia game on Saturday in Jacksonville opened up with the third-ranked Bulldogs as 14-point favorites.

That’s the largest line from Vegas favoring the ‘Dawgs in this series since 1985, according to Covers, as pointed out by SEC Network news editor Brandon Zimmerman.

Georgia has dominated the competition this season, winning each of its first four SEC games by 25 points or more.

Florida, meanwhile, has been struggling. The Gators are 3-3 on the season and have lost two in a row to SEC West opponents LSU and Texas A&M — both at home.

It has been a while since UGA put a beat down on Florida. The Bulldogs’ last double-digit win over the Gators was in 2007 when they won 42-30. Florida has won three in a row in this series, all by at least 14 points.’

That could certainly change on Saturday.

Georgia opens as 14-point favorite over Florida. This is the most UGA has been favored over UF in records going back to ’85 kept by @covers.

Georgia Bulldogs

Much like Penn State, Georgia's weakness -- the offensive line -- should be another recruiting class or two away from being up to league standards, but good coaching has that position developing well ahead of schedule. The Bulldogs are sporting a freshman quarterback, lack elite depth in a few spots on defense and match up poorly against Alabama. Those three things will keep Georgia from an SEC championship in just the second year of the Kirby Smart era, but we're still buying this ascending power and expect the Dawgs to roll through the rest of their schedule and finish the season with just one loss. It won't be long before this outfit starts accumulating real hardware, and this week is a good time to jump back on the train as the 30 seniors on this Red and Black squad vent three years of Cocktail Party frustration against a hapless Florida team.

twas the week before WLOCP and all through the nation
they were kicking him around like he was an aberration.
HIs comments are scrutinized and pondered with disdain
Cause the man they call butters has caused us such pain
We have no chance in Jax the pundits have spoken
Our program is dead and completely broken
But this game by the river not normal at all
Its as if some magic has been put on the ball.
Dooley used it and abused it and caused us to cuss
then the HBC coach came and sent them home on the bus
So before you lose hope and drink till you stink
Remember this game can change on a blink.........

FUUUUUUUUUUUCK Gorja.................

Up here in Atlanta, they're talking about blowing out the Gators, their return to prominence, the SECCG, playoffs, etc..
Meanwhile, we're getting thrown under the bus by our HC and wondering if we'll be bowl eligible.

Good times.

Beat leghumpers and all the troubles vanish for a few weeks. Beat the semis and get a few more weeks. Back into the SECCG, you are saved for a year.

With this trash talking similar to a "duck pulling a truck" and our coach's death threats followed by the USA's veiled comment about Mac not commenting further on the threats, it's apparent we are coming to Jax with laser like focus.

Since UGA is rushing for 282.6 a game I'm going with UGA 49-10. Unfortunately I think they're going to smear our a$$ all over Everbank field Sat!!! I also expect alot of empty seats on the UF side.
