I like Mike Shanahan for coach, he will be most attractive to the older alumni who knows his career, and it is those alumni with the money and influence. He will attract top notch asst. coaches. Worried that young recruits don't know him? He only has to flash them the "bling", they won't notice how old they are.

I'd just like to see us go after a guy who's had been successful developing offenses at the collegiate level.

Does he even know many top notch college assistants? Know how to recruit (other than the Pell Way)? Know how to simplify game plans so distracted 19 yoa with lil fat girlfriends can learn it in 20 hours?

Jeepers, I must have been tired when I wrote that.

Weis was a friggin' coordinator. You really telling me it's the same thing? Why would you like Shanahan ten years ago and not now? Because he's old?

If Treon continues this pace he's on, Muschamp's not going anywhere.

If Muschamp is looking for a job at the end of this season, there will be a bidding war in the SEC to get him as a defensive coordinator. But, with a successful 2nd half of this season, he will get some head coaching offers too. What if ~ he has learned on the job and is ready to step up as a head coach?

The best hope for us re 'Champ involves leaky brake lines or an elevator shaft. Something that cleans up any loose ends.

The best hope for us is that some shiiit program like Ga Southern pays him to be an HC or someone pays him a bunch to be a DC next year. Every dime he makes offsets the 2.8 we will have to pay that lunatic the next few years.

I doubt anyone offers him a head coaching job - unless maybe its on the level of say Idaho or a team like that.

Not Idaho. They believe in offense out west. Service academy makes sense but they would tolerate his behavior. Maybe MAC team.

Anything is an upgrade, but we don't need to revisit the Pell Cheating Years.

Unfortunately, I agree with this
