You could give me a 100 free guesses and I wouldn't have said either of them..
it's bullshyt.

those guys have postseason stats included. Guys from before did not.

every one of those stats should have asterisks by them.

how many TDs did DW have in three SECGs and 3 bowls? 3-4 per game? He was always huge in those games.

Does ANYONE on the planet believe that Fitzgerald was even 1% of the quarterback that Wuerffel tebow or even Peyton Manning were?

Law may have an aneurysm After reading this:
Mullinz it's supposed to take credit for making first team all-sec Chris Leak (and #1 SEC offense) into a below-average option QB (most games except Ohio State) or making Dak Prescott into a six round draft pick (with many teams thinking TE)?

It reminds me of Scot Loeffler bragging about making Tom Brady into a 7th round draft pick.

AR couldnt be any more perfect for Dan Mullinz offense if they made him in a damn test tube.

Tebow is 6’3 and in Nike’s while 6’4 Richardson is in slides. Kid may be closer to 6’5 now

The same Scot Loeffler who we picked up from the 0-16 Lions to teach Tebow how to throw like an NFL quarterback. Also the same year the Lions had a quarterback walk out of the back of the endzone to throw a pass.

Not to nitpick, but Dak was a 4th rounder and Brady was a 6th.

That is called special teams and defense.

Mullinz struggled to get past 20 points in most SEC games in 2006, even w so many ST and defensive scores.
Well I'll be a monkey's uncle, you're actually right. Only once did we crack 30 points against SEC team (and that was in the SEC championship).
In Mullen's defense, there were very few high octane offenses at the time, and defenses didn't play soft. A 21-14 win under Meyer/Mullen looks a lot better than a 21-14 win under Chump/Shark.

I think we all remember the FSUcks, SEC and National Championship game, but the rest of the season was pretty ugly offensively. It's not that they looked better, it's the end of the season was so much better.

Technically, even the fsu game was ugly. It was really just the final two games, and of course the openers. That said it was clear he didn’t have the pieces to run what he wanted to run. The knocks on Mullen’s offense in ‘05-‘06 would hold a lot more water if the next two seasons, with a full roster of his guys, we weren’t buzzsawing through virtually everyone. Now, we can rightly credit Tebow and Harvin for much of that as well. But then, by the same token, you can’t criticize his MSu offenses that had nothing even close to that outside of Dak.

So I think it’s fair to say it’s an “incomplete” at the moment. This year and next will answer things. These are his guys, and if they’re not good enough, then it’s a recruiting issue which he’s failed to address. Simple as that.

That is why I'm only talking about those 05/06 seasons. When Mullen has his type of quarterback who is elite, the offense rolls of did in the mid - late 00's. The question, Dak ran the offense well, but the lack of talent around him did hurt. The question now, not only recruiting but have defenses caught up. There are no Harvins walking through that door, and regardless of how you feel about the dude which on the field he was arguably the most special dude on the field of those Gator teams. Those teams especially the 08 team was so loaded on Defense/Special Teams how many times did the offense get the ball in plus field position.
