Anyone who genuinely dislikes Tebow needs to take a long look in the mirror and deal with their insecurities.

Side note, he's not money hungry those fees go straight to his charity lmao. That being said, it's a nice tax break to have the money go there then pay yourself a salary......

Tebow needs to clear the air. After he put that $750K rock on his soon-to-be's hand, I lost alot of respect for him, since he constantly preaches about wealth, goods, etc. not meaning anything.

If he stays quiet, then his silence is basically a guilty plea.

I think Tebow is a great guy. Really nice guy. I'm gonna keep stressing nice. Seems nice anyway, and a hard worker. The thought that spending $750k on a ring could be hypocritical is probably not a thought that ever crossed his mind. I think a lot of thoughts some of us have are ones that will never cross his mind.

Him being nice and a hard worker reminds me of that quote from the office when they are talking about not promoting Michael Scott. Probably how the NFL teams that looked into him felt:

Counsel: "Was he your first choice?" David Wallace: "Michael Scott is a fine employee who has been with the company many years." Counsel: "Was he in the top five of contenders?" David Wallace: "What do you want me to say? Come on. He's a nice guy. There were many people that I considered." Counsel: "Was he being seriously considered for the corporate job?" David Wallace: "No."

But whatever, does Elway do speaking engagements for free?

elway does crappy local commercials here in Denver - so I seriously doubt he does anything for free.

from reading that link - it didn't seem that Horsetooth was directly calling out Timmy, but citing 'anonymous sources' that called him self-centered and egotistical.

as to the fee based appearances... most folks do that in his position, but I don't know that to be true about Tim.

So as a Christian, he can't have nice things or buy nice things for his girl with money he earned through his own talents and effort?

Here's your sign...

nd I don't even have an issue with him not being in the league. He didn't fit at all and I don't think he was ever going to be an NFL QB

Loved Tebow as a Gator, but then I thought the love for him from our fans and those once he went to the NFL was crazy and nauseatingly over the top. BUT, at the same time, he was never allowed to run a conducive offense in the NFL. His stats were not great in Denver, unless you look at the Fourth quarters only, where John Fox had completely Muschamped the games up to that point. He kept everything super close and would not let Tebow play in an RPO or even play action with the QB offense. He was a conservative coach that would need to have a really ground breaking approach for the NFL that Lamar Jackson is crushing (I'm not suggesting Tebow is Lamar, but Lamar was given the structure to shine and would also likely struggle in an Aaron Rodgers/Mike McCarthy style offense).

Anyway, Tebow's efficiency when allowed to stress defenses with both the threat of run and pass on the same play was fairly high. I've seen at least two articles breaking this down - neither was some Christian football stat site. His running ability won a few games (against the Jets and Steelers) where the defense went cover zero because of the run threat and allowed a big play. Denver didn't highlight that to their and Tebow's detriment.

Ultimately though, those who worshiped him the most likely cost him a realistic chance as a backup/time to develop guy. It was too much of a burden to have your marginal QB treated as the second coming.

The guy has saved many children from sickness and poverty with his mission field hospitals and food banks. He has done incredible work for his faith and is a true representative of gator nation. He has earned his money and he can spend it however he pleases without having the morals police tell him how. Jeeze...

he does... and he owns a chain of restaurants called... get ready.. "Elway's"

I live within walking distance of Shanahan's... that's a pretty good joint.

and he pimps for a mortgage company out here as well...
the wife is a big Broncos fan and not an Elway fan... for all the obvious reasons.
however - my wife thought for years that Timmy would make a great son-in-law

We saw Tebow doing his Single A stint and the wife mentioned he would make a great second husband.

... like a pool boy/Falwell arrangement. that worked out pretty well for her

we are in the first row behind the on deck circle and she was very pleased. J and his family were with us for one of the 4 games were at and my parents came to another one of them. I think all the wives in the group might have agreed with my wife.

Feeling the need to randomly rake someone under coals says a lot more about you than the guy you want to bring down.
