I think it's time to evaluate whether Dan Mullen is the guy or not

600+ yards of offense. It was not the fault of the offense last night.

points win games, not yards.

his insistence on "establishing the run game" sureley killed us.

of course it's scoring 34 points should be enough but not when you have Grantham.

either way Mullinz is responsible.

I can't wait till Tuesday when the pumpers are back to tell us he's only losing the game he's supposed to lose.

against more talented teams like LSU and ATM.

The only hope is the NFL. They're so desperate, they might higher him and Grantham both. Otherwise, his tenure here will look like Richts.

Richt actually won two SEC titles. Cousin Eddie won't win ****, Fat Slob Todd here or not.

Anytime your team scores 30+, it should be a win. Add in the complete lack of discipline in the program, Eddie has hit the ceiling. With dumb Kirby apparently finally figuring out his QB, the East goes through Athens until we send Eddie up 75 in his RV.

With franchises like the Bengals, Browns, Jets, and owners like Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder, there is always some hope Eddie could be gone to the NFL.

When Florida was mediocre at best in Muschamp's first year in 2011, LSU was overjoyed to humiliate Florida and rub their noses in in it.... Ruthless, like Meyer and Spurrier.

Last night is for me when I realized Mullen doesn't have that same fire. I still hold out hope. Maybe he gets a d coordinator who is a fire breather and Mullen gets some more fire from not measuring up to what it takes to win championships. Right now he seems like a win the east every 4 years and maybe luck into the playoffs type of coach. Get in the NY6 and win the east once in a while, have chance to make the playoffs every now and then and maybe that's ok for him. Hope I'm wrong but where was the fire and revenge for LSU last night. It's Richt 2.0

This isn't MSU or South Carolina, we need ruthless, cut your heart out in recruiting and on the field, winning is fire in your blood. That's Saban, that's Meyer. I just don't see it in Mullen. I hope I'm wrong.

Mullen, 1 division title in 12 years of being a HC in the SEC, and only because Smart was dumb and didn't play Daniels earlier.

Mullen won't win shcit here as long as he recruits the way he does and the AD continues to fail when it comes to the arms race. Saban will have 5 more NCs before we sniff the SEC.

Clearly Dan is not giving us a dynasty here and lacks certain skills to run a program. Maybe he slips into playoff once, but who is out there? I am still amazed there are not more great coaches. I mean in past ten years its Dabo and Saban first tier and what, Lincoln Riley? Urban, when he is coaching. But he brings other issues. Other than that, who?

So many “great” assistants moved up over years or coaches with past experience (See Richt, Muschamp (x2) Novell, Herman, Kelly, Frost, Harbaugh to name a few ) and they cant get it done. Running a college program takes so much skill involving leadership, organization, mentoring, being a boss of a huge staff, recruiter, babysitter, father figure, PR and marketing, fundraising etc.

In the 90s there was always like five to seven coaches that seemed to have thier teams in the mix: Spurrier, Bowden, Osborne, Paterno, Holtz, Fulmer. In 2000s it started to wittle down, it was who, Urban, Tressel, Carroll? Now its just Dabo and Saban.

so while I cant see Dan here for long, not sure i see the next big thing out there.
