This is a good read, not just on NIL, but on the NCAA's incompetence. The MAC commissioner (who has very little pull) rips the NCAA, .”
So true. NCAA will have no ability to prevail in court over the limits.

why should an organization of North East South and West geographic colleges be allowed to demand players attend their school instead of attending the power conference that they wanted to.

Really not sure what you are trying to say, but ok...a)talented kids will stay longer instead of jumping to nfl and b) if UF would stop being stupid they could use this as a tool to start recruiting better since UF is one of the schools with big booster support

a) So kids that can make millions in the NFL we stay in college for endorsement payments?
Jlaw.gif

b) UF won't take advantage of the opportunity. Everybody knows that.

I don't think anyone but college football players believe it's actually good for college football. Some of us thought it may be good for UF since maybe it would legally allow business owners to help the shyt show recruiters we've got. But evidently the UF brass said "not so fast, hold my beer and watch this mother fucher".
net is way up his own ass on this one.

A..Bama QB already making more $ than he will in the NFL and he hasn't played a down of football.
B..You getting mad at the UF and not the rule. You are arguing with yourself, not me.

No no no...that is the argument you keep trying to make because you think they are all just too stupid to be able to be given $. That is literally the argument you previously made which really makes your whole quote above hilarious and stupid all at the same time. You making fun of UF for regulate it all while saying it needs to be regulated because the football players are too stupid to be paid.

No dumbass, that was you and @alcoholica arguing about the players being too stupid or not. But since you brought me into it, I do think most are too stupid to be handed large amounts of money at that point in their life but I also know that's none of my fuching business. Just like it's none of their business what my company sells my product for. So I don't give a fuch if they get paid or not. I just want to so whatever helps the fuchtards at UF recruit better.

I said they were too stupid to get into UF without football as a factor.

The rule is the rule. It's happening. The question is the unintended consequences. The schools with the resources will recognize the advantage and take full use. Not everybody has the resources though. It doesn't level the playing field only tip it to those schools with the market, boosters and proactive administration. The rich get richer. Are you tired of seeing the same teams in the final four? Well get use to it because they will have an even bigger stranglehold.
As for UF, well we will be left in the dust. Alabama, Georgia, FSU and Miami will do a much better job of luring recruits.

And? Has anything changed? The rich have been getting richer. The same teams will be going every year regardless of this rule. Are you arguing with yourself?

Uh...this sure reads a lot like you are saying a reason they shouldn't get paid is they are too stupid to deserve it.

Now you are going to be giving a bunch of ignorant sh1theads a bunch of money, and say "go represent our school". Exactly how many kids are going to try to parlay these new gains into seed money for guns and drugs. Over half the football players probably smoke dope now, can't wait for them to start selling now too.

Most are dumb and will remain dumb. Anything they make will be frittered away. They will not get out of the ghetto.

hell, look at Reche Caldwell. Caught up dealing after being in the league so long. Just another dumb dumb

The richerer will get even more richerer. Instead of an 80/20 split of talent it will move to 90/10. And UF will be left out.
Is it inevitable? Yes.
Is it good for college football? Of course not.

UF is getting left out because UF is staying out. You are making up dumbfuch ratios as if they mean something. 80/20 to 90/10...geesh, stop making stuff up to try and justify your wrongness. I couldn't care less about UL Monroe being left out on the college football landscape. I would rather see the SEC and other P5 teams get stronger and keep those players longer. So, yeah...College Football will get way better.

I'd be fully on board if it could somehow slow down all these damn "opt outs". I knew once it started it was going to be a slippery slope. In just a few short years we went from having guys sit out bowl games to guys sitting out entire seasons. The opt outs piss me off almost as much as the targeting rules.

That’s actually a result of the NFL’s outdated 3 year rule. No kid should be forced to play a physical, at times violent game, for a year or at all if they feel they’re good enough to get paid. If they value the development they’ll receive for free in their collegiate career, then that just adds to the actual compensation they’re already getting. If they feel they don’t need that and are ready, it’s probably a mistake, but I’d say go ahead. I’d rather have a player completely skip UF than play half hearted and concerned for his future every snap.

Would you rather a player opt out, or play half speed worried about getting injured. Jaylon Smith is the prime example going into bowl season in 2016 (?) he was rated as a top 5 pick. Gets his knee torn to schit. Gets picked in the second round because of a crazy drunk owner likes reclamation projects. How much money did he leave on the table playing in a meaningless game?

If you finish your degree and are ready to move to your profession should you have to put your career at risk another year because of an outdated rule. It's in the kids best interest to do what's best for their future, we wouldn't make the same argument about any other profession.
