It needs to happen. This is as embarrassing a moment as possible:

We’ve discussed the pleats, but a rear half elastic waistband on the same pleated khakis?

No one can recover from this.

Spurrier - always wanted to try the NFL dating back to when the Bucs hired Leeman Bennett in 1985 instead of him sitting across the street from Tampa Stadium in the Bandits office, Foley failing to back him at all during the Earnest Graham/Darnell Dockett bull**** moved him closer to pursuing it.

The UF pressure cooker is no different than any other school.

Don't forget that kid dying during summer camp... that affected him a lot that year. Which probably led to him being more open to accepting that NFL record (at the time) contract from Daniel Synder.

Meyer - history has now proven whenever things get tight and losses happen, he quits, Urbs is a quitter, plain and simple, just like he will do to Jax before Khan can fire him.

If I’m Jeremy Foley I am going to promote the “fan expectations” story as much as I can.
It sure beats the he!! out of “I left because my AD didn’t support me” narrative with Spurrier.

Yup.

The fact that it was a few weeks after the Earnest Graham knee incident proves nothing. /FooleySuckers

And boy are they suckers.

Funny you should say that. After I post information that I followed very closely for the past 20 years the thugs here assault me like I'm a nole or dwag. It is ignorant and immature not to mention Gator on Gator violence for no good reason. I was even threatened with a ban for stating a factual recollection. It looks like the board has been infiltrated with antifa and BLM dumbocrats that attack anything and anybody they disagree with. It's not a good look and I strongly suggest you give it some thought.
I like you bro, you normally bring good content to the board, but you're acting like a schoolgirl right now. "Threatened with a ban..." For Christ's sake, Ox did the same to me yesterday, and 4 or 5 others at least. It's called good natured ribbing and its fun and funny, its not serious. Quit playing the victim card; its a terrible look.

I was actually dead serious about your particular ban. Report to Swamp Gas immediately.

I've been around a whole bunch of you people going back 14 years now, and I've been a Gator fan for 32 years now. I will admit I'm extremely sensitive about the "spoiled fan" narrative that started after Spurrier left for the NFL. Some asshat in the media started it ("look how those demanding fans ran off Spurrier!"), and it has hung around ever since, with the urban legend continually growing that Spurrier, Zook, Meyer etc. actually SAID that's why they left or were ousted. Yet, no one can provide the existence of these supposed quotes.

The premise is that Gator fans are more demanding than all the other fan bases, that they are unfairly unrealistic, impatient, and brutal to coaches. It is complete and total poppycock. Go to any of the FBS message boards, I don't care how crappy the school is, and you're going to find demanding, unrealistic fans. It's the name of the game, it's how it works - EVERYWHERE.

Whenever I see this narrative spread I react in a negative fashion. It's a reflex.
