As much as we all can't stand Butters, he knows first hand how things have been done at UF...
I can believe I have a positive thought concerning old Hee Haw, but his raising hell about our support staff and facilities are the only reason some know we have a terrible problem (even though it is only a tiny percentage that are aware).

As much as we all can't stand Butters, he knows first hand how things have been done at UF. The fact that Napier has a relationship with him and can talk to him frankly, and STILL want to take the UF job is a very good sign. It's also is a clear indication he knows exactly what he's up against walking in, which is a good thing. I think some of our past coaches were unpleasantly surprised at how things were done after they got in the door.
Yeah. I can't imagine Jaws has many good things to say about UF, so if Napier went to him for his thoughts on the job and still said yes then he knows what he's up against and thinks he has a plan to fix it, or the admin gave him assurances that they will help him fix it.

Does this not exist? An entire set of degreed nutrition careers? Does this UF falsify their employment records.?
Even if this isn't tightly current, it shows a legitimate & respectable program.

Does this not exist? r
Im sure they are writing papers somewhere. While the kids get fastfood in boxes.

We dont need academics, we need people actually running a kitchen for the kids.

Im sure it will be pawned off on COVID or waiting on our Athletic Faciltiy due in 2015 to be finished.

I would love to struggle the way bama struggles.
We will never pay for 1/10 of their struggling.

This is our third "WE GONNA BE BAMA" hire. you should have figured this out by now.

I think too much is made about the tree/disciple thing. It helps if someone has seen how things should work, sure. But I think it's the opposite of what is commonly thought. I don't think regular coaches go to work for Saban, or Meyer or anyone else and become great because of it. I think guys like Saban and Meyer purposely surround themselves with driven, competent people who were going to be solid regardless. There are misses, like Daz and others, but most of the time they go after guys who they feel are probably on their way to becoming successful head coaches. Stoops and Spurrier is a good example.
Hopefully they learn the important relationships between cause and effect. Some may put too much importance on their operational abilities.

Thanks for an up-to-date list of UAA relatives that couldn’t get a job elsewhere.

Interesting that I've never even heard the term "nutrition" used in discussions of CFB until I read Napier's list of football stuff that he pays attention to. Now this. I guess I just always assumed we were feeding our horses healthy oats.
I always suspected that we were cheaping out on the food. Willing to bet money that Georgia and Bama and OSU feed their players the highest quality grass-fed beef, fish and chicken daily. We are fools. Food is not the spot to cheap out on. Total Recruiting negative. Sling Blade better fix that sh!t, pronto. Yes sir.

Truthfully it's never crossed my mind. Surely the multimillion dollar sports organization is providing decent nutrition. But I guess not. But it's out there now. They can't not fix it at this point. Diabate forced their hand. Also if Napier is as half as detail oriented as people make him out to be it would gotten fixed anyways.

All of this nutritional deficit in the program is just mind-boggling. I could’ve sworn we used to have a nutritionist that ran the training table for the players that provided three squares each day and monitored their caloric and nutrient intake as well as prescribed weight gain or loss. The meals were programmed to max load carbs a day prior to games as well as practices. WTH happened or am I confusing this with another school?

I also think there is merit in @divits post concerning the quality of foods prepared and served to the sky box boosters. I’ve been up there twice and quite frankly Golden Corral is superior. This makes me believe that this area, as has been opined, has been undercut severely over the last 10-12 years or so. This is what happens when those in charge see the value of the football cash cow as a siphon for other athletics that don’t generate enough revenue to pay their bills. Worse though is when football revenues are used for non-football/non-athletic projects. That’s how, comparatively speaking, our football facilities and services resemble the Sanford Arms as opposed to the Ritz.

We had a young woman who really seemed to know her **** that was head of nutrition a few years back. Wanna say around 2015. She was here only a few years and then was poached by georgia. She's still there to my knowledge.
