I haven’t played football since 1997 at flavet field during flag football Intramurals but god dammit I played with more pride and desire than what I saw tonight. How do you rep the gator nation looking like that ?

He overthrew him or sure. Par for the course. But he’s not to blame for the injury. EJ is not ever going to be a good QB, but he’s handled himself better than most.

Agree he’s handled things well. I’m really happy he’s decided to move on because by the time the fsu game was here I was really starting to get to a point of toxicity similar to Brantley and Driskel as their careers began dragging on, and I didn’t want that. He’s hasn’t been a bad kid or teammate. Just not a QB.

I hate to bash EJ because he's been a class act, but that pass was horrible, much like several other passes that missed wide open WRs that should've been easy TDs. I'm just frustrated.

Still being coached by guys who were just fired for being terrible, running a scheme that’s been awful for 4 years, being called by a GA, while you’re down your best defensive player and effectively playing the backup QB you had to bench in the previous game because he’s completely ineffective. We’re a bad team that needed AR and Carter to get to 6-6 and neither were available.

Has anyone noticed that unlike Gray last year, not a single coach(to my knowledge) has been hired elsewhere? Really puts into perspective what these kids were working with.

This game sucked. But it’s as meaningless as any we’ve played in a long time.

It was announced over 63,000 (sold out) & biggest crowd in history of Raymond James. UCF now has over 70,000 students enrolled.
Largest sold out crowd not a New Years Six game. And we schit the bed, but not unexpected

Will be interesting to watch and see if any are hired. I would like to think Knox dug his coaching grave tonight. He cannot recruit, and by all accounts was a poor position coach.

I have to come clean. I was really wrong about Emory at the beginning of the season. I had high hopes that he was going to lead this team to the next level.

I also thought the same thing about Brock Berlin.

Brock Berlin did it for us. However, he was never really accepted UNTIL he beat the Gators and did the throat slash.

Well, the "directional" school did pretty well plus considering their #1 QB (Gabriel) was out and they had to start a freshman QB. The City of Orlando is very supportive of UCF and they have a lot of positives going for them. I think within the next 10 years they will be a team to be reconnened with and on the same level as the Gators, Canes & Noles. Some of their 3 start recruits have turned into 5 star performers and they are doing well in assessing talent.
BTW, Mullin was mentioned for our OC.....the board about blew up. Our BOD did not like his personality or massive ego. Word on the street is that we are signing Georgia's DC but that he won't be announced until after their bowl game. Let's look forward to a much better football year in 2022. Sure hope Shorter is going to be ok. He is a very good player with a bright future if no residual injuries.

Napier's biggest uphill battle is going to be trying to instill discipline in a program with a deeply entrenched disregard for it, be it before or after the whistle. Slop and poor impulse control are guaranteed to cost a game or two over a season, yet no one here ever seems to give a **** or learn better.

Hang in there Gators, things are about to change.
We are entering a new era of Gator football, and it is going to be a joy to behold.
Napier is wiping the dust from the program, cleaning the chalkboard, and if you stick around you will see as the top recruits start buying in, it is going to pick up rather quickly, pay attention to recruiting.
This is an exciting time for Gator football.
Leave the past behind and enjoy the ride.
