I just watched the 2021 highlights for Stokes. Let me preface this by saying I am not an X's and O's expert and have no background in player evaluation. So, feel free to tell me I am absolutely way off-base in this comparison. But, the comp that came to my mind was Johnny Manziel when he was at A&M. He just seems to find a way to make the play. It's not always elegant and he may end up throwing off-balance or across his body, but he seems to just make plays. Go ahead and tell me all the ways that comp is horrible (but clearly the comp is not intended to have anything to do with off-the-field comparisons or personality comparisons).However, I don't think any of us would complain if the on-field performance was similar.

I thought that but held back from saying it. Kudos to you. I listened to an interview with his personal QB coach this morning. His summary of his skill set reinforced it. Being LIKE him is a far cry from doing it at that level but that’s what he’s had to do at Nease.

He also said that now that he’s committed he will be in touch with Napier & Co. and shape his off-season training as per their guidance. He’s already doing that with AR15. (He said we may be in for a shocking year with AR15.)

Also reminded of how Billy dropped the staff additions sequentially, creating and sustaining the buzz? Think it’s coincidental that we’re getting day after day of decisions on the cusp of a dead period? And our average inching up day by day? He’s sharp.

I also bet that kid from Eustis - Tyree Patterson - is a find. He hasn’t done a lot of camps so he’s not on the evaluation radar.
