Holy shat.

Back in June many people were doom and gloom on this class, while someone kept saying “We’re going to wind up ahead of Ut and scUM.”

Flipping Kearney from f$u, now Rashada from scUM… feels like the good old days.

And it feels like there are more big commitments to come.

Are we gonna take 2 QB’s this class now? Nice to stick it to Mario for a change. I’ll also be cautiously optimistic until he puts pen to paper.

Glad to see some of the other commits are happy about this. I'm a little worried how this will affect things with Stokes. He's been recruiting his ass off for us since his commitment. If he dips out now, will that affect more?

Definitely love the PR that comes with this flip, especially as scum continues tos struggle on the field.

However, based on some of the comments posted here about his season (the few I recall), I wonder if he was previously overhyped or were those post-scum-verbal comments jaded? Would appreciate some updated analysis about his raw abilities and whether his performance shortfalls are "potentially fixable?" Has he improved as the season progressed?

Now lets ride this momentum and thoroughly dominate scar!

No recruit has SIGNED anywhere yet. Like BN said last week about the class: "We have to close".

I have a feeling watching recruits /NIL up to ESD is going to be like watching Jiffy Pop popcorn.

As far as the tweet ...

I tried so hard to convince myself that WDWHA so now I’m confused.

Checks stats: His completion percentage increased substantially his SR year. Let’s roll!!

Wow , was not expecting Rashada to flip to us, I guess that will push Stokes out. Need to close with some DL , OL, and LB.
Hopefully he sticks. Get them both on campus & competing. Who knows which one will excel at this level? Exhibit A: Stetson Bennett.

Stars matter a ton in aggregate, class to class and for the program overall. But you never know on individual players. I just looked & Johnny Manziel was a 3* (so was Mike Evans, shockingly.)

Absolutely need to close as you said. 100%.

Let's pack the roster with unstable, unproven four star qbs from California then. UT caught lightening in a bottle with Hooker.
You’re an idiot if you can’t see the massive importance of landing this kid over a 160lb DB. We were up ****s creek without a game changing QB, Kitna and others get us a 4 year Outback bowl ticket. This kid is what Young/Maye/Stroud/Hooker bring to their team. In todays game, it all comes down to a game changer at QB, stop being a dumbass!

Do you think UT has the season they are having because of a stud QB or is it attributed to a random DB?
Cormani isn't a random DB. He's a lock down DB and the #1 defensive player in the country. Not saying we don't need a stud QB , but we can have both. And Dls. And Safeties. And LBs. And everybody.

This ain't Tebow, dude. He's an unproven kid who has never taken a college snap and has shown questionable judgement since June when he went scum to begin with.

I’ve never felt this reluctantly excited about a top 7 QB, plus a flip. Why did he go Miami at first and what does that say about him (channeling @soflagator), but more, the fact that our big booster announced this yesterday suggests we just provided the higher offer of the moment.

I really hope I’m wrong and he sticks and is better than his JR year film. But, as someone who has been in the “let the kids get paid” group, this “commitment” feels more fluid/negotiatable to me than most.

BUT, what I like most has nothing to do with this kid. It seems we stepped up $-wise. Regardless of this kid. That is a great sign moving forward. Perhaps the most positive aspect long term from this flip.

We offered more in total the first time. Ruiz makes outlandish upfront offers like he did with McClain. NIL is not a problem at all for us but we play more by the rules…

My excitement over this isn’t an either or, my emphasis is on the position and it’s importance to the team in todays game. Are you taking a Bryce Young/Joe Burrow/Tua over a lockdown DB, which one gets you to January? Our current DB class can overcome missing a Cormani, however we can’t whiff on a game-changing QB which we were until today.
