Free Candy, kids. Our director of NIL drives an aged and weathered minivan? Seems about right.
Free Candy, kids.
fsu seems to be making some decent moves. They needed to with their roster and recruiting class. I wanted their staff to be inept and incompetent but they are not. Their class this cycle is poor but they are getting players, have a decent staff, and put it together on the field. Our recruiting is much better but we do not yet know what our staff can do with a solid roster. We need a pass game that plays well with our run game.Nothing to see here, trust the process. ;)
I guess the jimmy and joes doesn’t apply to coaches
Surely we could offer some MILF money to keep him around.fsu seems to be making some decent moves. They needed to with their roster and recruiting class. On a side note, looks like Ethan White has not yet found a home. Maybe he will stay a Gator?
If half this board just cancels their pornhub account and earmarks those funds to the Collective, we’d never have an NIL issue againSurely we could offer some MILF money to keep him around.
You can't put a cap on NIL; theoretically, it's money they make outside of football, so it's none of the respective universities business. You could only put a cap on salary, should that ever be a thing one day. And you can't even do that without a collective bargaining agreement. My opinion will be unpopular, but I don't want to give money to high school kids. Heck, I've never paid a dime to a pro athlete outside of buying a ticket to a game every blue moon. I know it is the system we have to deal with, but I have too many fiscal responsibilities of my own to hand any over to kids playing foosball. You won't ever hear me complain about NIL issues other than I think its tarnishing the game, I hope the people that actually make big money off the sport will pony up, I don't think that should ever fall on the fans. I don't think the fans are collecting money for Aaron Judges new contract, so Gator fans shouldn't have to pony up money for Rashada or anyone else. It should fall on the conference and the schools, the money makers, to come up with a system that is legal and allows them to compensate players reasonably.
EDIT: To add to my point, I think this could be a way for the conference to create parity in the conference. If every school was alloted a cap for NIL on an annual basis, players would be forced to seek out schools other than Bama/UGA/LSU getting errybody every year.
Where exactly do you imagine the money is coming from?I don't think the fans are collecting money for Aaron Judges new contract
Did the players already unionize? And you can't even do that without a collective bargaining agreement.
If half this board is signed up for a paid account, it would explain the never ending ignorance that abounds. that place has billions of terabytes of FREE hi def content! If half this board just cancels their pornhub account and earmarks those funds to the Collective, we’d never have an NIL issue again
From the team using money from TV revenue and ticket sales, merchandising, etc. That isn't the same as fans putting money into a collective that goes to Aaron Judge.Where exactly do you imagine the money is coming from?
I didn't feel it necessary to say, but yes there cannot be a CBA without a union/players associationDid the players already unionize?
But yes, the schools paying the players directly is pretty much the only way to reduce the impact of NIL.
All of the money comes from the fans. All of it.From the team using money from TV revenue and ticket sales, merchandising, etc. That isn't the same as fans putting money into a collective that goes to Aaron Judge.
Indirectly yes, not directly as is the case with collectives. God its not that difficult. All of the money comes from the fans. All of it.
Actually there's an intermediary in both casesIndirectly yes, not directly as is the case with collectives. God its not that difficult.
