Probably wouldn’t have slipped if he just went for the first instead of trying to turn it into a bigger gain.

True.

Why exactly did they apparently roll out a brand new type of grass for the SB again? Both sides could’ve been, and were, affected by it. Terrible logistics there.

Well @Jay26 Eagles didn't win, so looks like that tweet prediction of Jags in 2025 might not happen

It’s because it’s happening in 2024

How was it a bad call on the 3rd and 14? By every NFL rule metric it was a catch.
I watched several times and never saw possession with the left foot down. It was bobbled and then recaught.

If hats a catch, the one in the flat that KC returned for TD was too.

I don't think either was a catch. Jst didn't see control with 2 feet in bounds, but control is jdgement call.

To be clear, I don’t like the ever changing NFL catch rules any more than you. But based on the definition of the rule, DG made the catch on 3rd down and the other was incomplete. It’s why the rules analyst agreed on both. As long as things are administered fairly across the board, it’s fine. The issue was the pass to Smith that went against the guidelines as there was absolutely nothing that warranted overturning a catch. What’s more is that if it “proved” anything it’s that the defender was early on Smith’s arm and it should’ve been PI and a spot foul. How that doesn’t factor is in mind numbing. Basically two slaps in the face on the same play with the way they called it.

Again, applied evenly and consistently, no one can complain. But they definitely opened themselves to some questioning tonight.

And Mahomes is still great and played a tremendous game, especially given his circumstances.

I had a bad feeling you weren’t going to be nice about this. I can only take solace in the fact that Douglas78 reportedly got a bad case of chlamydia and quit the board, or it may have been worse.

You’re taking it better than this dude

Notice the timeline between that kick and my next post. Plus, we all know I have a penchant for luxury watches and am passionate about my teams.

In retrospect, I could’ve handled things better. Like not invite the guy with stains on his wife beater pictured at the end. Honestly though, otherwise…

This does bode well for next year (especially with a fairly weak NFC East)

I’d agree, but they love Hurts just as much. Could’ve been not called and either way they get a great story.
The story they want is Mahomes assuming Brady's throne. Roger Goodell has turned the NFL into his own version of WWE with the storylines and the controlled momentum. Jump out to a lead and it will fizzle just like that the same way two wrestlers take turns being alternately badass and helpless. Nobody beats the snot out of anybody wire to wire anymore.

Right before this commercial, I got up to go to the BR, when I returned my dog had jumped up into my chair. Then this came on... I thought the dog was sitting on the remote.

It backfired, because that's exactly what my wife thought and hit the home button two seconds in.

Didn't see that call, but the catch rules are a joke. Having it not be a catch when a guy catches the ball and can turn his head upfield is a joke.

The dude with the wife beater was ready to tie ass. Notice the guy throwing the fit wanted no problems with him
