You probably aren't going to like what I say next to this, which I agree with every word you type above, is that once we watch SwampKings tonight we might understand how the program fell so hard and maybe, while Meyer gets a lot of credit for getting us back to the top, he probably deserves a bit of credit for sinking us to the bottom.Reading these articles a couple of years after the fact is so damn depressing. I remember reading one about Butters that was just as horrifying as this one in a few different ways. Before that, the Chimp melted down in his own way.
My point is, UF managed to hire THREE BLITHERING IDIOTS in a row, it's incredible. What's even more incredible is that Jeremy Foley was not only not run out of town on a rail like he should have been, they've allowed him to hang around and named an entire wing of the new facilities after him. Jesus wept.
What Gator fans have gone through since Tebow left should qualify us for PTSD disability payments from the government. We've been forced to eat crap and told it's ice cream. What a sh!t show.
It was all brian johnson. Mullen is an idiot. Not only does he not play the best players and hire/keep garbage coaches, but his offense consists of running the qb up the middle for 3 yards 100 times a game. He even had Chris leak doing that. This makes me wonder how much of that 2020 Trask / Pitts spectacular offense was Brian Johnson and not Mullen. I Would love to get BJ back as an OC.
No, that's just a conspiracy theory from people who "don't know ball" according to what I've seen many sayIt was all brian johnson.
He was scared of them, never stood up to them, and they bulldozed him from then on, knowing he’d never be able to hold them to account. I’ll venture another idea that Hevesy was past ready to be done, as he had a son playing HS ball in the NE somewhere. Certainly doesn’t excuse his berating and insulting the players. If that’s all you’ve got in the tool box, he should’ve left him be. Not knowing all that, I foolishly thought we’d get the same output from the OL as we did during Meyers’ time.Damn. I still can't believe Mullen brought that dipshyt Grantham back in 2021 after that abysmal 2020 defensive season. And yep, it was Hevesy who kept Pierce from being a featured back. Now I guess we all know why. Mullen was afraid of these guys. What did they have on him?

Waiting for apologies. Gator fans are right yet again.

It's abuse of power. Small, troubled people do things like this.Oh, what could have been. Sickening really.
None of that is shocking and it does help to explain a lot about the behavior and gaslighting on why good players weren't seeing play time.
Does seem more like sMullen was afraid of them, that they had stronger personalities. If I am understanding correctly, Mullen saw the best weren't playing, NOT because of behavior or commitment, but failed to correct and the entire program suffered. That really is negligence of a high order. He was scared of them, never stood up to them, and they bulldozed him from then on, knowing he’d never be able to hold them to account. Grantham…that SOB didn’t pass the eyeball test to start with and smelled like a Dawg as well. Weird thing for me personally, I felt like I knew what he wanted to do in terms of scheme and building an identity on that side of the ball, but we didn’t have the overall personnel, particularly in coverages and LB play. Nor did we have the right guy to TEACH the scheme and see it together with technique, consistency, and building solid depth. He coached like the guy selling vacuum cleaners door-to-door and not like owner of the company. Human waste.

YESSo basically everything the fans thought was going on was 100% true and even worse than we thought
Cool.
So, I really do not know what an AD's job entails. But I would think that it's still a managerial job which means you inspect what you expect. That could include talking to players privately, attending group meetings with coaches and players, keeping a pulse on recruiting and coach's activities in that so that you know if and who is going to Jax, Tampa, etc. Especially when missing on or worse, not being involved with players from those areas, finding out who is responsible and why we are not there in a meaningful way. It's your f--ing cash cow dufus. Pay attention.YES
If even half of what the article alludes to is true, then Stricklin should be gone today. This is the shyt you see and hear about if you are in tune with your program. Your Golden Goose is sick. You should fu(king know!
