I hope DEZ understands that this will be the end of our NIL relationship. He will no longer be my in-season Avatar. To be honest, he was a disappointment and underachiever. And I was thinking of ditching him anyway.

He performed exactly how he was rated. Mid-3 star with glimpses of enormous upside, but ranked lower due to weight and poor conditioning, which was a red flag for his eventual ability to meet his ceiling.
They got it exactly right.

I think they’re done. He’s gonna ride this wreck to the bottom with his OL buddies and his playcalling just like Mullen did with Fat Todd. He had to get some journeymen on Defense just to field a team and a strength coach just to put better film on tape for his next job.

I don’t think we’ve got a LB coach yet. Holy cow. I guess AA will cover that like the bang up job he did with safety play….

Well, one gets the feeling he's not all that worried about it. I have to wonder if his "boss" is meeting with him to discuss. Wish it would turn out he's so negligent in his duties that his buyout is not fully guaranteed. We probably will never know if he actually fired the secondary and DL coach or if they said, we're leaving, thanks.

Saban hired Hammy Jackoff to be a LB coach. Perhaps he might actually be competent at that.

Lagway said in an interview today that he expects Napier to still call plays next year. The idea of a OC being hired before next year has never once been discussed in all his discussions with sling blade.
