Players can only have so many official visits a year and only one per school. It looks like they were paying for multiple official visits for the same kids.

Ole Miss is kidding with their self-imposed sanctions, right? Please say they're kidding...

Maybe I should change the title of this thread to "Ole Miss hammers its girls basketball team".

Good, one less team above us in the recruiting pecking order. One down, eleven more SEC teams to go.

Did these guys really think they could get away with paying their players when they arent even in the State of Alabama?

Chris Kiffin's name is all over these violations. Apparently Lane is not the only dirt bag in that family. Does anyone else feel that Monte may have been seriously lacking in parenting skills?

They probably would have if they didn't beat Bama the past few years. The SEC didn't like that.

Yes, that is definitely against the rules. And I saw Bammer get called for holding once last year. It was inevitable that the people responsible would pay the price

There better be atleast a post season ban and freeze loses his job. It's way worse than what happened at Ohio state with tressel.

It sounds like most of you are stuck in a time warp if you think the NCAA is going to "come down hard" on Ole Miss.

When was the last time they came down hard on anyone?
Don't say Penn State because they were way out of their jurisdiction there and have reversed most of the penalties anyway.

The NCAA will talk tough for several months and then sheepishly accept the watered down penalties Ole Miss recommended and then go back to sleep.

The same way Miami got off easily a while back.

The NCAA is going to do very little about this beyond the self-imposed sanctions. Don't kid yourselves.
