So your theory is that we were willing to play tomorrow but LSU declined? I guess that's possible. Why would the sec let the dwag game get postponed one day and then say it's impossible for us to do the same?

How do we know they were good with Sunday? Because an AD on the hot seat says so? We've basically said it wouldn't work? The Sec commissioner said so as well. Why do we believe their guy and not an unbiased official or our own?

And why wouldn't it work? There is no legitimate reason that I can think of. If you want to play the game you make it work.

Not sure this is mine to reply too... but both AD's have ridiculous rules in their response.

Foley said that Wednesday night he fully expected the game to be played in G'ville. Obviously Thursday that all changed. It was too late to travel and there was no way normal game prep could go ahead with possible path of the hurricane. Either you buy that or you don't. If you don't, duly noted. Otherwise the only debate is when and where the game is made up. It will have to be the 19th. Who travels where is the only thing open for debate.

If Foley said that then he is truly a dumbass. By Wednesday evening the chances that this game was going to be played as scheduled were less than 33%.

As I said duly noted. Now do want to continue to cry over spilt milk or move on?

Hmmm, so only the apologists are allowed to post? I simply commented on the information you supplied, which i can only imagine was posted by you because you thought it was relevant and of some interest. If I was supposed to ignore it then my bad bro.

I work in emergency response and had the only chance for overtime in the course of my duties to be in response to this hurricane. I am glad I remain at regular pay levels.

People seem to think the only determining factor would be that a the foul weather had cleared. They also had to factor in the ability to travel to or from Gainesville, hotel rooms being available, fuel, businesses open, power outages, law enforcement/emergency personnel availability, etc.. When the storm was tracking the way it was, re-scheduling for Sunday wasn't a viable option.

Doesnt matter if stadium is half full better than not playing the game. Keep open Sunday and cancel if storm worse than thought. Not rocket science here.

It'll be interesting to see how many feel this way tomorrow while watching the Dwags play.

The Dwags comparison is silly. They aren't remotely close to the coast and wouldn't have had the strain on their infrastructure that the Florida cities would have.

Jeebus. The game is in Columbia. It's barely farther from the coast than Gainesville and more in the direct path of the storm. And the weather went thru over 12 hours later. You need some more extensions to your excuse matrix. But but but but we just CAN'T.

It'll be interesting to see how many feel this way tomorrow while watching the Dwags play.

On Wed at 5:43 you posted the following:

"It doesn't matter if hog town is high and dry if all the roads and hotels and police, fire, and rescue is tied up"

Five minutes later you took it further by saying the airport would be closed, questioning how lsu would even get here.

Now you're saying that by Wednesday, we should've had a plan in place to play on Sunday. Are you implying that we should've speculated that all siad personnel would be back and ready to go by Sunday? Because no one, including Usce and Miami, was willing to just give up a home game and put themselves at a major competitive disadvantage before all the facts were even known. So moving was not an option. Yet by your own admission, Gville was in no position to handle a game.

So based in your own words, how do you propose we should've handled things?

All they seem to know for sure is that they would have handled it bettterer.
