He will do good in that offense and have big numbers like most QBs do at West Virginia under that coach but I don't see them taking the next step forward and winning the Big 12 just because Grier will be their QB now. My guess would be about the same results as this past season with that QB who is leaving. He is pretty much a lock to be the starter looking at the roster however.

Well it is a team game, imagine Tebow without a defense and special teams. Not so successful in my view without those things. We are missing punt returns as well as an offense.

I anticipate that Grier has lost a step and won't have quite the same zip on his passes or even the same quick release.
I'd have to say this is the most absurd thing you've ever written.

He won't be in a Heisman ceremony. He'll be another stat padding Big 12 QB who doesn't win any championships.
Of course he won't win any championships. Who the eff said West Virginia would be winning titles? The fact is, he's going to put up pinball-machine numbers and he could have been our QB next season. Instead we chose LDR.

I think it depends on if he is allowed to play the first six games or not. Never heard he got that part overturned. If it is not I think he plays ok this year, if at all, then starts the following year. If he can start this year I bet he runs the stats up and goes pro.

It could be even worse for Grier now that's off the PEDs. The body develops a dependancy to the stimulants. Patients often experience erectile dysfunction afterward, which in this case would be devastating to Chad. Will will likely be a shell of his former self and not the ladies man we've all come to know.

The Grier hype seems to get stronger by the day for about 4 quarters of real good play. He has some talent but the hype seems ridiculous at times for what has been done on the field so far.
Could have used those good quarters in those losses this year, been 4 more than we had, imo

I have a personal theory that Grier was on more than PEDs. I think he was also Perc'd up. Just reading between the lines on a few things.

'course '78, there's the likelihood of Grier's new attitude = "Man, random testing -- no chance they test me again."

I hate how it went down here with him. I wish he could have played out his time here without any interruption. Barring that, I wish he could have returned here and cleaned up whatever problems he had going on.

Regardless, when he played for us he was young and inexperienced at the college level, but also a great talent. Really good arm talent, great feel for the game, knew when to tuck it and go (but didn't have 4.5 speed, c'mon), lots of moxie, team-mates believed in him. He was a gamer who was going to get better along with Mac's offense. What might have been...

He was better than anything we've seen since Tebow until now, so yeah, I wish Mac could have worked it out whatever the circumstances were. He is paid to put the team first. EPIC FAIL and Clarabelle still aint on the field.

Sports medicine has long held that guys who sit out a year or two are never the same. They come back without the same confidence and usually without the same physical skills. I anticipate that Grier has lost a step and won't have quite the same zip on his passes or even the same quick release.

It's a shame. He could have been the next Next. Instead he chose Morgantown.
Wrong......our medical staff and Mac sent him to Morgantown......

Did it occur to an of you "4 quarters" guys that he played behind THE WORST OFFENSIVE LINE IN THE HISTORY OF CFB.......WITH NO TALENT AROUND HIM........What you brain surgeons are fail ing to realize is he made everyone around him look better than they really were........Now give him this years offensive line with Cleveland and 3 decent RB's.....we easily win 11-12 games this year....easily.
