Well urbs was here after Mullen. And he didn't do so well.

You seem to view your opinions as facts while dismissing others opinions. I don't think your opinion on the state of the gators is ridiculous. I just disagree with it. I don't see the doom and gloom that you guys see. I'm pleased with the direction of the program at this point.

I am sure they would have been belly aching about nothing happening for 10 months, why can't he trade this player for that other player, he's .005 better than him on Rivals. To Swonkey, it's the wrongs that give him rights.
It's his personal pillslopity, & standard Gator fans are who this pill slops. Pity.

Still, the raw (true) data points out = better recruit class makes for the most wins, the most championships.
Excellent coaching, best practicing, superb S & C, etc can pull up some bootstraps. This season we've seen it work.
Not Mullen, not his crew, no our Gator players are gonna throw up their hands in pre-defeat, in dispair because the staff missed on certain recruits. Gators fight in playing each game.

So, year after year of poor recruiting could cost Mullen his dream job. I don't think he will allow that.
Still, I think Mullen relies on "on-field proof" to design his honorable (truth-laden) recruit pitches. In due time his Gators will contend with the CFB best - in wins, in trophies. Impatience is everybody's torment - a process different souls endure in panic unto calmness. We just have to endure that too.

Well put. I hope you're right. If things don't work, it's up to Mullen to fix it. You're are right that the players won't throw in the towel if we have an average recruiting class. It will just make Mullen and his staffs jobs that much harder to improve over next years results (on the field) and next years recruiting class.

I just want to FFWD to when we beat Bammer...handily.

Very true. But I think the big picture has to be looked at. Where are we coming from, where are we at and where are we going. Butters is in the rear view mirror. Savage and solid coaching is where we are currently at. 2020 recruiting is looking pretty damn good and that is where we are going?

Wiping that butter's stank off requires mulitple wipes. This year's class is still a pretty solid class in filling some serious holes but there is still more wiping to be done. Mullen is scrubbing and the stank is coming off.

Plenty of other teams have had far worse than one bad season.

Either you can recruit or you cant and these sad sacks of shyt cant.
