I gave Dooley's comment zero credence hence why I said I disagreed. I was shocked he said it due to fact CRob was a GA 2 seasons ago elsewhere. Made me think Dooley hadn't put any thought into the true situation...qualified candidates for a highly attractive coaching position.

Grays the most qualified current staff member and it's not even up for debate. English is a bum. Crob is a great recruiter and a good young coach but he's only been a position coach for 1 for one year. That idea is crazy to me.

I'm not a fan of English....but he's the only coach on the staff w/ previous DC experience (plus head coaching experience). He was a DC for 4 years, two at Michigan and one at Louisville....plus 4 years of head coaching experience. He's 50 years old. Honestly, I'm surprised he has landed somewhere else as a DC.

Game film? The fact that our safeties were total shyt and our best ones were on the bench watching two turds play most of the time.

2nd question...we all know Durkin is a great DC so ability isn't the question, but isn't he too "toxic" still after the Maryland thing?.

Black Lives Matters Maryland Chapter wanted a scalp. Durkin had nothing to do with. He isn't even allowed to have contact with the kids during that time of the year. he is liable as Spurrier was for Eraste Autin's death.

I'm going to disagree with you a little bit about his background. He certainly a competent defensive coordinator, but I don't know that he is a great one.

He's always been a great recruiter, and I dont mean "sucks least" on a mediocre or bad staff. Creyer only hired great recruiters.

I'm aware of his history. Not impressed. Sorry if I don't wanna promote a bad recruiter and a terrible position coach. Not to mention how he sounded in that damn interview in another thread.

No we didnt. We didnt even land a single ILB. We landed three outside LBs ( one who is a Rush hybrid and another who is a safety hybrid).

We havent landed an inside LB in two years.

Again, he isnt even qualified to be the position coach. He wont get a second thought at DC.

These team defensive stats are interesting and considering there were 27 defenses in the country better than ours I would think Mullen can entice someone strong in play calling and recruiting experience to come to Gainesville. I had no idea the Miss. St. defense was top rated after the season.
