1) White doesn't get up for games.
2) White's devised a program that develops no one.
3) The only fire White encourages is "fire White".
4) White makes it look like it's his players' fault.
5) He doesn't notice things.
6) He fails to grasp the "must-have" of an inside game ... doesn't instruct big men to use the glass quickly.
7) White was blind to the reward payoff of pounding into Stone, Stokes, Hayes, Bassett the inside mentality.
8) With zero emphasis on working fast, preferring to feed it inside, White taught dawdling around the arc.
9) These players could have been trained to pass faster, cut more suddenly, cut down hesitation, etc.

But we won 20 games --- lost 15, some loses too close. White will always be an "almost coach".
A different coach could get 15% more out of these athletes. What? Back to back Florida is 6th in the SEC?
We need to hire Bobby Knight to transform White's desire & determination or else Knight could pass his judgement on to Stricklin as to who we should hire. HOF basketball coach as a hiring headhunter.

White was a 100% NIT coach when we hired him. Now he is a 75% NCAA tourney coach at UF making the tourney in 3 of his 4 years here. He was hired as an offensive minded coach but turns out to be the exact opposite because of the roster he inherited (Billy D's final team was his worst offense by far that he put on the floor and White inherited that entire bunch) and also now built. Injuries aren't his fault to all the big men that we have had. Chase Johnson was playing great as a freshman but then got hurt and never recovered. Same with Egbunu. Gak I am hearing may never play again cause of his knee issues. Stone still has a ways to go to get healthy. Bassett has shown some flashes this season with rebounds, ft shooting, and being able to hit a few shots here and there. John Mooney was recruited by Billy D but went to ND when Billy D left so he would have been a SR this year at UF had he stayed on with us. As you can see that White has been VERY unlucky with big men and yet has been able to produce 20 win seasons and shake the NIT label he was given. 20 wins not enough but when building a program back up, you have to start somewhere. We will see how we do next season cause the roster will be loaded. If we don't win 24-28 games and get to the Sweet 16 then yeah White should be GONE and FIRED. For THIS current team to win 20 games was pretty remarkable considering we were 12-11 at one point this season and about to dive to 12-20 for the season. The team and coaches banded together and won 20 games and go into the tourney and pulled off a huge upset over an Elite NV team. Go Gators!!

I find it weird that some of the football pumpers are calling for whites head. It's like it's acceptable for us to be terrible in football but average in basketball is not ok. Now that the rants over I'll get back on topic.

1.He answers questions honestly. I can think of a few former football coaches that skated around every answer.

2. He doesn't sound mildly retarded every time he talks

Ranked in the top 15 all year and was a bucket within the Elite 8 last year. Had all their returning players from that team and only lost 4 games regardless of schedule. They were talked about all year by the so called experts as a team that could repeat that and more. We showed they were not, thankfully!

White has to be able to recruit some big men that don't get injured. We had 6 on the roster 6'8 or above but only 2 could play extended minutes, Hayes and Bassett. Stone, Johnson, Gak, and Stokes were all injured. It will be interesting to see if we are able to get a big man transfer or 2 to come in next season.

We will have a pretty big and talented team next season:

PG Andrew Nembhard 6'5 - 5*
SG Noah Locke 6'3 - 4*
SF Scottie Lewis 6'5 - 5*
PG Tre Mann 6'4 - 4*
SF Keyonte Johnson 6'5 - 4*
C/PF Omar Payne 6'9 - 4*
C/PF Dontay Bassett 6'9 - 3*
PF Isaiah Stokes 6'8 - 4*
SF Keith Stone 6'8 - 4*
C Gorjok Gak 6'11 - 3*

G Mike Okaru 6'3 - 4* - possible transfer out
G Deaundre Ballard 6'5 - 4* - possible transfer out

Who out there can we target to get a late signing or transfer or 2 to get the roster finalized? I am sure Lee or Williston may know something?

We beat a very good Nevada team that averaged like 25 years old per player.

The other SEC teams have 4-5 guys 6'10" or taller. With their "trend awareness" no telling how many bigs they've got coming in.? White's got one big coming in for Florida ... and that's the freshman foundation we're all sure of and excited for. The squad that shows how super-White can really coach Florida back to prominence.??

We've got to put a speed-dribbler on the court.
We've got to have 2 more new 6'9"ers+ in next year. The other SEC teams have 4-5 talls already in place getting practice & experience. And surely more than one new tall coming in. We fall behind off the court, we fall behind on the court.

I put this in the wrong thread.
I don’t know about you all but I’m excited this year is over, these crappy seniors are gone and some real talent will now be at Florida for Coach White to coach and develop. We all know the talent was lacking and the current roster was lucky to even make the tournament let alone win a game.

Next year we will be at least an Elite Eight team. Book it.

Stokes, Stone and Gak you can take off the list. Gak is gone most likely and until Stokes can get off his fat ass, lose some wt and get serious he's not worth counting. Stone will take a full year to recover from and ACL injury.....at least so now take a look at the list again.
