Yes, I know. That’s why I added “in the air”. YAC is included in that traditional yards per attempt number. I want to know what that number changes to when YAC is removed.

Franks' fumble was caused because his painfully slow windup gave the defender time to hit him before he could release the ball.

Franks and the offense were just about to take hold....I think Franks injury made the offensive line really grow up at that moment in time.
Oh and Trask hasn't beaten LSU or UGA yet so until he does I believe EJ could actually be more successful(option)game would really open this offense up and rid of us of so many 3& outs and turnovers.

Its because he can’t run. You know how @Concrete Helmet is - its not real football without 3 yards and a cloud of dust. EJ immediately switches the dynamic from “passing” to “rushing” offense. Too appealing for Crete to turn down.

The defense beat Auburn....we had 2 bang bang plays and a lot of nothing in between except EJ's most important drive when we were losing momentum...

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks that. The fumbles were the only thing that kept it from being a blowout. We moved up and down the field.

i dont think anybody is saying he's the only reason we are winning games or deserves the heisman trophy. After he came in and took us back against Kentucky, I was sure it was just a flash in the pan. But at this point, he has undoubtedly been a better QB for us than franks ever was. If we would stop running QB draws for him on 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 when the defense knows its coming, he would probably be even better.
Maybe he will bomb a couple of games coming up and change my mind. But I haven't met one gator, other than you, who thinks he hasn't been better than Franks.
