No...get the F out of the way and let the horses outFlorida squeaks out with a win 73-67. Loved the offense the first 15 min of the second half. Faster, confident, attacking, inside out, etc. Horrible the other 25 min. Blackshear got a BS T for mumbling under his breath. We have 2 games in the next 18 days...White better figure this out asap! Push the ball!!!
They get stripped and make bad passes way too often. Bigs settle for lazy 3's, no motion off the ball and way too much 1 on 1 play. 4 assist and 14 turnovers is pathetic.
Only to back it down the rampMW continues to put games in jeopardy by disrupting the rythm of his players, and ignoring how much athletic talent he has to play fast. I wonder if he tows his bass boat with his Corvette.
They don't at all act like a well-coached team.
Did you hear White's post-game talk? The sports pundit got into White to explain why these guys don't play organized, don't work for shots for themselves or for teammates? etc, etc. White with very weak voice said: "I don't know?" Millions of $ and he has no idea why his charges play like that? UF deserves a dynamic HC. Somebody that's not too weak and soft-spoken in practices. Somebody who yells like I do before the TV.
Golly gee, across the boards, everybody is digressing. They're not being taught to congregate around the basket. How did we luck out to get so many good athletes to come play for White? They need to call a team meeting to have an intervention on White.
We all know what needs to be done.White nailed what needs to be done.
White nailed what needs to be done. Love him or hate him, it is disingenuous to characterize his response as simply , “I don’t know”.
We all know what needs to be done.
Mike White basketball is really hard to watch. When we got a 13 point lead and Marshall called the TO, I knew we were gonna slow it down and ramp up the dumb turnovers, sloppy shots and shot clock violations. Win or lose, it's wash, rinse, repeat. How does MW not see this pattern? Everyone on GC sure does...
He owns a Vette and tries to use it like an F-350 pickup.
I think it was at the under 8 min TO. We just took a 13 point lead. What followed was two sloppy dribbling turnovers and a last second desperation heave. Maybe I'm misreading it, but compared to the ball movement that got us the 13 pt lead, the dribbling appeared to lack purpose, just dribbling to take time off the clock. Shockingly, we took a few good shots soon after. Still, wvu had taken some momentum and were still in the game because we didn't stick with what was working. The turnovers were there for all to see. But I didn’t I didn’t really see the offense slow down particularly during the 8 possessions in the final 4:36 with a 63-52 lead.
We shot with between 11 and 19 seconds on the shot clock on all but the 8th possession which was at 8 seconds. We scored on 4 of the 8 possessions. (The 9th and final possession we were fouled and converted so scored on 5 of 9 possessions to end the game).
Seriously it would have been a mistake to shoot even earlier in the shot clock with a 11 point lead and 4 minutes to go.
The issue down the stretch was more defensive than offensive imo.
This offense will not take a big step forward until Lewis and Mann get comfortable at this level and until Locke gets his consistency back. When Lewis and Mann start finishing at the rim it is going to tremendously open up their games and their teammates.
