BECAUSE BINARY!!!!

And Pumpers say #3StarWhisperer dont need no talent, except when he loses then you can't expect him to win without talent.... but just wait til next year when he gets his recruits, except when the recruits don't come it's because facilities.

Endless loop.

Only in ur head.

Yeah ... I get all that. But again, its not magic that makes our OL any better. They still are too slow to get to their assignments when we run it. And when they do get to their assignments ... they fail. It isn't as simple as saying the whole problem is because that one edge rusher we let in to dictate the option we take is killing us because we have a pocket passer who can't run. Furthermore, it underlines my original point even more ... our blocking scheme isn't very good and our OL talent isn't either. It really makes my pumper go soft and I am looking at Hevesy as place where it should be fixed.
Dont disagree with any of that, they are slow, soft and no one has a nasty streak it seems. My point is it's worse when we arent at least having them in a protection scheme that compensates for Trasks inability to run the ball, or maybe more positively, best highlights his ability to stand in the pocket and make good decisions.

Elam was a 5*. Major Wright was borderline. Was a 5* at first and then fell out barely.

Keanu Neal, Marcus Maye, Nelson, and Marcelo Harris were all top 75 talents I believe.

Chauncey Gardner was ranked as a CB but was always pegged to become a safety. He was borderline 5* as well. I think he missed 5* by only a couple spots. If I recall correctly, he was a five star as well for a while and eventually slid out by a couple spots.
So what you're saying is we do very well with high ranking 4 stars.?. I'd agree.

The original quote was a poster saying he missed the days of 5* signees at safety. We haven't had many. Elam was awesome. The only other one I remember was Will Hill and he was basically a bust. Sure I'd love to sign a bunch of 5* safties. There just aren't very many and we haven't signed many. I'll take a backfield of high ranking 4 stars all day. And the occasional Amad Black who was a 3* but was one hell of a safety and Gator.

at best you're going to get a few more inside and outside zones instead of option.

hopefully he will remember to use the forward pass , but we'll see what happens next year.

I read that and think

Endless loop.

Not sure, but given the time frame it takes most OL to be prepared to play, it seems we'd be playing with Mac's FIU leftovers... who not only suck, but were also recruited for a completely different scheme.

Any player Mullen has, is either a transfer or is in only in his 1st or 2nd year of collegiate strength and conditioning. We all know there is the occasional stud freshman and a few sophs.... but common knowledge also, is it takes way more time for those guys to be physically ready than any other position. The guys Mullen has recruited are still very young and raw. Not saying Hev' doesn't need to do a better job. It's pure agonizing to watch us try to run the ball. But there's a reason we were actually able to run the ball last year. Despite not being recruited for this scheme, we had 4 veteran players who are all gone. That's 4 guys who had 4 or 5 years of collegiate strength and conditioning. Despite the joke of a strength program Butters ran. It usually takes time for those guys to mature.

Yeah ... that makes the most sense. OL is the long game and we was a physically weak program under butters. Just frustrating seeing very little improvement and extremely 'consistent lackluster never taking charge of a game' performance all season. No real flashes of potential; well, White seems to be at least a solid contributor going forward ... so I guess that is a flash. The positives I feel like they made or did good all season is not as many false starts and procedural penalties from the previous regime but overall it seems like the same level of getting pushed around performance as has been.

EDIT: But I do hope the talent being brought in is going to fit whatever scheme we run .. this is recruiting centric.

Just shut up. You don't have a fvkking clue what their assignments are and you couldn't diagram even middle school level running plays.

Just STFU. You just look stupid computer boy.

I'd say "nothing but risky."

The pumping on here references what has already happened. No pumpers are speculating outlandish positives. But you keep projecting pumpers as idiots with heads in the clouds. That's the straw dog claim you return to too often.
I had to do a double take on who wrote this. No puns? Impressive!

You’d think this would be part of lee begleys job. And not bc she’s a woman- isn’t she basically our “marketing” person for recruiting?

Don’t do this to yourself. I would ignore anything and everything Bowman. It just. Ain’t. Happening.
Just the messenger boy! Nothing counts until the ink is dry. Even then, they can transfer...

Plus we knew they were not just going to give up on Bowman. They were/are going down fighting.

I sure hope you’re right.

Fingers crossed.
Getting Dexter, Goods, Brown and then adding Lee and Smith would be a fantastic restocking of the interior line. Brown is sized like a child compared to that much bulk.
