Just stopping in to join the party. Looks like we took another big step toward getting the Musk-stank off the program today.

I remember when a player listed as Athlete meant they were 5'7" 170 lbs but great athletic ability, projected as a kick returner and maybe an undersized DB or scat-back. But you gotta love this new breed of "Athlete" recruit, a 6'3" bruiser with the speed and skill to pretty much play anywhere on the field. CHOMP CHOMP!!

Tape looks real good. Was that real small ball he was playing or mid classification if anyone knows?

i tried to find out what classification Leon HS was but didn't get anywhere. The football team finished #198 in the state Florida this past year.
I can tell you that McGriff was the only one on his team to get a scholly from a major college. The only other player that got a scholly went to FIU. So likely smallish ball.
Coach Mac talked about him playing offense in his presser, but I'm with JB in thinking he has the size and speed to play OLB; and we need LBs.

So what is the deal with Mcgriff? Auburn claims he couldn't get in because of academic reasons… Then he commits tho UF… If you can't get into the the barn, you sure as heck can't get in to UF. Did his trip to UF seal his fate and they yanked his scholly? Anyone got the scoop?

Regardless, this kid is a beast and his best football is ahead of him. Glad he's a :chomp:

Some people think he should play LB, but he'll play offense in my opinion. And he'll be all over the field. At TE, out wide at WR, lined up on the backfield, maybe even in at wildcat. Kid is big, fast, and dynamic. I think the only reason he's not ranked much higher with the recruiting services is because they're not sure what he is. Mac and co. have a vision no doubt though.

I want answers darnit!!!!! :gah:

It is funny b/c earlier I agreed with a post that we whiffed at LB on paper, but thought they had the idea of giving both Kylan Johnson and McGriff (aka from now on the "Crime Dog") a long, long look at LB. Johnson for sure b/c he looks like he can add a lot of weight (20-30 lbs) and much bigger LB's are not as needed as they once were.

... Said Will Muschamp... about every good athlete...ever...

Did you see his highlights? This kid is a gamer and we NEED to get better on OFFENSE. I want to see him scoring TD's!

I haven't had a chance to watch his highlights yet but I will. All I know is that we have a serious need at linebacker, and he is a good enough athlete to provide quality depth at that position and one day be a major playmaker on D.

He's got a highlight tape posted. Thought it was here but it may be Gator Country or Gator Sports...The kid is a freak and a TD scoring machine. He was literally running and catching the ball everywhere. Great combination of size, speed, and moves. Hell, he even threw a TD pass on the last play on the tape though it looked like the other kid dropped it in the endzone. Based on the presser it looks like Mac has every intention of using him on offense.

Bottom line: Besides not getting Cowart..we did as well or even much better than most expected/could have wished for. Great day for the future of the Gator Football Team!

Yeah, most were saying if we finished ranked in the 30's it would be a miracle. Looks like a consensus top 25 finish. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. !!!

Hey Ox, I think you oughta do a post event podcast for NSD. Maybe get crucial to be a guest speaker, or clutchlikeMJ since he seemed to be nostradamus today. What does everyone think? Yay, nay?
