So Kiffin, in his second year with one of the least talented rosters in the SEC,
Kiffin with a terrible roster is more.of an indictment of those who explained away Dan's failures and 50-80th ranked offenses because you cant lead the SEC in Muhsippi.

Personally I'm dumbfounded that our choice is between Potato and Syphilis, with no apparent better options on the horizon.

So Kiffin, in his second year with one of the least talented rosters in the SEC, is doing better on offense in the toughest division in the toughest conference than Napier, with 4 seasons to build his team, is doing in the Sun Belt. How does that make Kiffin look bad?

If you want to talk losses, his Auburn loss is much more embarrassing than his Alabama loss.

I don't really follow Ole Miss recruiting, but it looks like he's focused on a handful of elite uncommitted prospects and plans to hit the transfer portal to rebuild depth. We'll see how that strategy pans out for him.

The Aub loss is bad. The Alabama loss(score) is bad. The Arkansas close call is bad. The Arkansas loss last year is bad. The loss to Lsu last year was bad. And they would’ve lost to A&M as well, which would given him yet another 6-loss season(4 in 10 years).

As for recruiting, that’s the worst excuse I’ve ever heard. Total cop out. If that was Mullen with that approach, or the narrative he tried playing, we’d be ripping him apart and rightly so. Freeze used to kill it there, so it can be done. Sitting behind an interim coach on a staff that was awful at recruiting to begin with, is indefensible. Sounds like he’s so confident in his coaching abilities that he thinks he can be average at recruiting and make it work. I’ve heard that somewhere before.

Again, I’m not against him. But there’s nothing proven about him, and plenty of data to say he’s an average coach. Maybe Napier isn’t up to the task either. But I’d much rather try something new that has potential to be great based on being great currently, than to hope that this P5 stop(Kiffin’s 4th) is the one where he actually excels.

To coaches in demand, UF is no longer considered a premier job. It is a second-choice job because of their lack of commitment to football.
Texas sized nucular truth bomb.

People like to tell themselves this is the 1990s are we are a top 3 to top 5 program. This delusional.

If we were still a top program, we'd have most folks at the 10-20s whispering to their agent theyd like to have that seat.

How any will want the Alabama job when it comes open? OSU? Clemson? Almost everyone. They all want to imagine themselves sitting on the throne at programs which will provide them all the staff and advantages needed.

It appears we're at the point where Napier is trying to negotiate the resources he wants to run the program. None of us would be shocked if he's getting rebuffed on those requests. ..

Jeremy Foley and his "arms race" attitude is what torpedoed this one-great program.
More megatruth. And he damn sure better get innwriting because our AD LIES LIES LIES about facilities. Billy D was promised upgrades in 98 and they arrived two tears after he left.

Butters made sure everyone on the planet knows what Slumlords we are. We can thank him for that if nothing else.

To me, this is the upside to Potatohead. At best, I expect him to be Charley Pell light. Not dominant but rebuilding the program which really hasnt upgraded since the 1980s. Maybe a tough out, instead of a team you got to halftime with down 28--7. He isnt dominating anything with potato ball.

I’m not sold on his offense. More-so hoping he can hire somebody to run his offense and he can be a CEO type. I don’t want him calling plays
I think it's probably more realistic to hope that he's coaching to his personel and once he's got different players it's gonna be more balanced. Hard to imagine a guy that elected not to hire a qb coach or oc would just completely give the reins to someone else.

If we are going that far down the list, I’d rather go after some hotshot coordinator. Stoops is great at Kintuckie. He isn’t a big time coach. He’s just great at a mid tier school like UK. You ruined my day with that news.
