Only you and like 3 others on the entire planet think 247 isn’t relevant. I’ve already broken down rivals bust rate greatly exceeds that of 247s, so I’m not diving into that again. Either way I’m not making an excuse for Mac and his shytty recruiting so it doesn’t matter

Nobody and I mean nobody on twitter references rivals ratings or anybody on any other site as a matter of fact. He can be hard headed all he wants, rivals is fine, but 247 also very good.

Since rating 17 and 18 year old kids playing a game against kids that mostly can't come close to their ability is such a crap shoot give me ESPN rankings. They are the media outlet that EVERYONE watches on signing day and the ones that are promoting everything so when you get a big day of highly ranked ESPN kids your team is going to be all over their networks and website. Just look at when we landed the Lakeland 3...they covered the **** out of it. Sometimes perception is everything

Perhaps this will signal the end of top players from FL going to UAL and grey shirting or other such nonsense. Certainly some of the committed but not signed of the 5 or 6 or 7 DEs might seriously now consider other places including UF.

Steele is a 5 star on Rivals and a 4 star on 247. So for him i would rather take his rivals rating. I don't think 247 is better than Rivals. But I don't think it matters that much. You can look at a kids tape and look at his high school competition and get a good idea on if he's going to be good or not.

He's visiting us this weekend and has already taken his official to Auburn, so that's good news. We need to put on a freaking show this weekend for the visitors! Honestly, if we can land just one of these heavy blue-chip DL's we're in decent shape - not ideal, as we needed three heavy's - but it will soften the blow. I really would rather not get one of the Plan B's (Dorlus was our best shot at a decent Plan B, these others are Butters Specials).

What the CFP championship game and Clemson's success overall brought forth to me is:
1. You need a stud at QB
2. A solid, stout OL
3. Playmakers on both offense and defense. You need a DL that will pressure the QB.
4. You need to be multiple on defense and confuse the opposing QB
