So hot water doesn’t increase hurricane intensity? Ocean water isn’t warmer now than it’s ever been? I thought that was basic sh*t but apparently it’s not.

No, the ocean water is not warmer than it's ever been before. It may be a little warmer than it has been recently. There is no evidence (BS computer models and fudged data are not evidence) that this mild warming is related to atmospheric carbon dioxide. A more reasonable hypothesis for ocean warming (if the warming data can actually be believed) is an increase in activity of the thousands of deep undersea ocean volcanoes.
It is basic propaganda. I don't disagree that basic (or bull) sh*t is an appropriate description.
You know a lot more about football than I do. You're skeptical when a coach says something. You don't accept coach-speak as being the truth. Where's your skepticism (bullsh*t meter) when it comes to politically motivated "science" claims?

Weathering of rock pulls carbon dioxide out of the air and traps it in the oceans. There has always been fluctuations where the earth has gone incredibly hot to incredibly cold but you're talking millions and millions of years. We are throwing so much carbon into the atmosphere that the natural balance of removing it is overwhelmed. The oceans are becoming acidic, wilder weather, etc.
Not saying that this adds to more powerful hurricanes but cannot overlook what is happening to the oceans and temperatures.

They'll just rebuild. It stinks, but comes with the territory.
Hopefully Freeport gets a serious face-lift. It's basically Riviera Beach with Breitling stores at this point. No idea why anyone would ever pay money to go there.
