I have a feeling his tenure will end in a bar fight with some meathead over a knocked-up coed.

. And that's one thing Lane can do, coach offense.
Briles was never a play caller before this year. He was just Kiffy's eyes in the sky before and that's what he'll be now. Kiffy holds the clipboard with hundreds of pages flapping in the wind.

Well I will get the obvious out of the way before I continue. I am quite sure that Kiffy will love the female students at Ole Piss. Even I have to admit that they have a good number of lovely, young southern girls there.

With that said, I have a hard time believing that Ole Piss will find any big success with Kiffy facing Barn, Bama, LSU, A&M, etc. on an annual basis. I think the best they can hope for was what they had under Cutcliffe where they were competitive, 7,8 win team max. The only greater success they had was under Huge Freeze, but they were overtly cheating. Now I will admit that every SEC school (sans Vandy) cheats in some form in recruiting, but under Freeze it was a joke. That got 3 of the Top 10 players in one class (none from the state or a neighboring state) in one year and followed it up with the best O-lineman the next year from Texas. But funny thing is that it was Hookers and Prostitutes that got Huge Freeze axed. Perhaps they are trying to get those Freeze results as Kiffy is youngish, offensive coach, etc. But without getting the very best players (which is impossible without overtly cheating), I can't see Ole Piss being a upper echelon team

Agreed except for A&M. I have seen nothing from Dumbo that suggests that they will be much more than better than average. Kiffy should beat them regularly.

Not disagreeing with you one bit. Dumbo blows chunks as a head coach. My point about A&M is they have the largest alumni base in regards to finances than probably any other team in the SEC. The have the largest stadium as well as some of the best facilities so they will be far and away ahead of Ole Piss in terms of drawing talent regardless of what moron is coaching them

I love Lame Kitten is in the west now! It should be pretty funny watching him make saban look like his head is gonna explode like Aub did at the half in the iron bowl! And just being a thorn in the side of the west coaches like he was when he was in the East with us as I'm sure we all remember So sit back and enjoy his antics over in the west it helps us

He's 44 and has had FIVE head coaching jobs, including a NFL gig. Unreal.

He's the guy that finally killed Al Davis.

You've got to give Kiffin some credit for the job he did at FAU. He took the FAU job knowing that his future career had to be on the line. FAU was not a given. If he failed at FAU then his chances of ever becoming a head coach at a Power 5 Conference school would have been over. He would have been seen as just a good offensive coordinator but not head coaching material.

Kiffin was at FAU for 3 years. He has had to build some relationships with high schools in South Florida. This should help him in recruiting. Mississippi has some good high school football players, but to win at Ole Miss he's going to have to go out of state to fill his roster. One of the reasons Kiffin took Ole Miss over Arkansas was that he felt his recruiting base would be stronger in Oxford compared to Fayetteville. Oxford is close to Memphis, Nashville, Birmingham, New Orleans. Fayetteville seems like a long ways from anywhere. Not saying Ole Miss is an attractive place for every 4 or 5 star recruit, but it seems today that who the head coach is becomes a lot more important than the name of the school or where it is located.

No way charlie strong goes there cause we are gonna hire him
I wish... Maybe Dan convinces Charlie to take a staff job while living off the severance package because he expects TG to take another job in the next year.

A man can dream, can't he?
